I am thinking of going on MSC Explora ships. I will not do yacht club, first of all it is three times the cost of a balcony cabin and secondly it makes you look as you are better than the normal cruise passenger looking down on the Hoi polloi . I don’t even take a dressy up outfit and always eat in the buffet. Money does not make you a better person. I am Scottish we do not wear our religion or wealth on our sleeve. Also pay people for a job, do you tip your shelf packet in the supermarket I always pay my gratuities as it is part of the cost and in the UK is included in the price.

I sail MSC no yacht club I was filling my drinks bottle with wine to take back to my cabin, the bar attendant said could he just fill my bottle for me.

Don your experience is good but we were waiting in a queue to board after a day on shore, we are old 83 & 74 but fit and healthy, the butlers stood stone faced and ignored an old couple in the security queue near to collapsing, we let them in front of us, and brought their yacht club members through, young fit and healthy people, Some ships have a separate entrance but going to the front of the hoi polloi is not on, money can pay for luxury but don’t flont it do not make others suffer. Usually MSC have cool drinks and cold towels and seats that you can use before boarding for all passengers in hot weather but none was available on this day. So please look if you are in this situation and say stop someone there needs help why is nobody helping them,I will wait.

Were you at any point given the rules on what you are allowed and not allowed to video while on board? or are you still at risk of being handled the same was Ben and David were ? I would not feell at ease on such a cruise.

Cruised Seascape twice, we did Aurea class as we simply could not justify paying more then double for YC – we rather cruise twice. We did Retreat on Celebrity in Sept. and another couple we met that if they had to chose they would go YC for the overall "VIP" experience.
