It is obvious that the research vessel is turning off the AIS to avoid spooking the fish and other marine life it is researching. The dark green uniforms are just new, environmentally friendly lab coat alternatives! Besides, even if they were soldiers, why would they wear forest camo in the sea? Nothing to worry about, comrades! 🙃
I would be more worried if the Russians had a nuclear sub hovering around there but still they ain't hovering around there to look at fish!
Russia has had spy ships for decades! Nothing new, just an AGI
The crew of Unbridled is very remarkable. They are truly a golden team. I visited this MegaYacht during the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in 2024. Impressive presentations!!!!
The wind was crazy during FLIBS this year.
"Fixed pole"… also known as a piling?
They were collecting information from their 'spy whales'. There are more than one being used for despicable means.
Why would a research ship turn off the AIS?
The only question that I have is why don't the mainstream media also report this as news. A visit to any news channel on YouTube and it is obviously full of 'bots' (for want of a better word) denying and poking fun at the media. Essentially shooting the messenger, rather than the message. That unfortunately, feeds those who are blissfully ignorant and others who are generally against supporting Ukraine in the war, or more poignantly, they are against the use of public funds to supply Ukraine with lethal aid. It wasn't so long ago that MI5/MI6 (one or the other or both – I forget) and the CIA made unprecedented announcements that Russia was planning to create chaos and havoc. Unfortunately, many forget this piece of news and again it was dismissed as alarmist. Piece together a bit of news here and a bit of news there and the picture is really very clear and obvious. Of course, the respective Western governments will be party to far more detailed information and intelligence and I honestly think it is safe to assume that what is out in the public domain is but the tip of the iceberg of what is going on out there. So well done you on reporting this in a calm and factual manner. Like myself, I am sure that there are many that are drawing their own conclusions also, although not necessarily quite the same ones. The one thing that I think we can all agree upon is that we are in very troubling and perilous times.
Thanks mate 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Welcome Back
Berthing and unberthing at FLIBS can be extremely difficult. The current in the ICW can be quite fierce and then add a strong seabreeze and it all gets rather hectic. Have seen many scrapes and bumps, some quite severe, but luckily not involving me. The tug drivers are excellent, but some of the ship handling by Captains can be a bit iffy.
The involvement of the Irish Navy is interesting. This service is under-strength, with some estimates saying that it is operating with as few as 50% of the required personnel and only one or two ships on patrol in Irish waters.
They (Russian ship)are mapping underwater critical data cables. Russian naval ships due to be in the area (Atantic south west of Ireland)in next couple of months. Irish government have said couple of years ago they want to ask assistance from Royal Navy/RAF and EU defence forces to chase off Russian ships as Irish navy do not have enough crew for Irish naval ships to shadow Russians 24/7 and Irish ships have to return to port due to crew shortages. Some pushback by Irish neutrality hardliners. So no doubt you will see Royal Navy invoved.
Thank God that ferry landed on rock so that the passengers and crew didn't go down in open waters. It could have been so bad.
Those silly Russians. Always up to no good. They think they own the world. I heard on another channel that they thought the cutting of cable might have been a larger Chinese vessel working for Vlad.
And a Chinese vessel, leaving Russia is held by Danish authorities: "A Chinese cargo ship has been stopped off the coast of Denmark. Officials are investigating it for severing underwater telecommunications cables connecting a handful of northern European countries."
The internet cable was severed by a rogue Ukrainian diving teacher. The same one who blew up the Nordstream pipeline. Case closed.
Welcome back hope you had a great time and some rest.
2 degrees Celsius, I'll admit, is a little chilly. But our refrigerator is set colder than that. It's not horrendous weather. It's just the beginning of fall.
Nice to see you again and get news from North Atlantic.
What a joke. Don’t the Russians know that the best way to destroy deep submerged infrastructure is to find a sailing yacht with 2 men & 1 woman divers pretend to be on a sailing trip whilst all the while conducting a complexed underwater sabotage that decimated the infrastructure under the watchful eye of the whole world. 😊
Why was it even allowed to enter our waters?
I think the Brits saw Vlad sabotaging his own gas pipelines and said to themselves, "That's brilliant, let's do that to".
Yes, after many hours and many requests up the ladder the navy requested their departure. That will teach them.
😢😢, all Russian vessels should be banned of euro waters…
What is the west waiting to sink all this russian spy ships and trawlers ?… waiting for them to commit sabotage to western infrastructure ?
Great videos could you do a report on the Yi Peng 3 please
5:45 Something built by Yugoslavia has floated for 35 years?
I dont understand why we criticse Russian and Chinese vesseles when US ships are spying on everyone everywhere. We have several permanent US spy bases in Australia that arent wanted.
Am I correct in thinking that the Irish navy has about one functional sea worthy vessel of any size.
In the light of rising tensions with Russia and possibility of a powerful member of NATO leaving, plus a very healthy economy, I'd like to see Eire up it's defence spending.
