  1. Another tip from someone who worked in the kitchen of a bar:

Always show the lable of the bottle so the customer knows what theyre getting

(Obviously you cant in a video like this lol)

  2. Idk how to explain this but imma try.
I pick up the bottle with my thumb and two fingers and flip it (still holding on to the neck) so that it is upside down and i pour holding it like it’s a pen. It makes it seem like you know a thing or two as a bartender and i strongly recommend buying some plastic training bottles or use an empty ol bottle that you don’t care about, and maybe do it outside and be prepared to have to clean it up.
But once you learn it and can do it comfortably you look much more professional!
I learned this when i worked at a night club when i was 16 in sweden. I’m 21 now and that same job got me into a bartender school when i turned 18 so that i would know even more and now i can pretty much get a job at any high luxury bar in all of Europe with the education and experience i have.
But i won’t keep working as a bartender because once you get educated in it you won’t have any free weekends anymore. And since i’m also a musician i hold my weekends close and dear to the music

  3. Go work as a server at a restaurant for a while…Or find a local brewery that has a bar, only serving beer is the best way to learn…. Then you can probably get an entry level bartender position. Or find a sports bar type place that serves very little liquor or mix drinks to learn while you study on YouTube. Don't attempt fancy pours until your a badass. I set a whole bar on fire trying to make a flaming moe on my first day serving liquor. 😂

  4. I’ve bartended but most of the customers only drank beer or easy drinks. Rum & coke, whiskey sour, Greyhound, etc. 😂😂

  5. Many decades (4) ago, I bartended. It used to be pretty much a 2:1 ratio, two parts filler, one part alcohol. Is it still like that?

  6. Just act like you don't really like the job that much I used to work e commerce but they moved me to the front end and I picked up my experience by working a lot of different retail jobs and I also have a certificate in business administration were I got training behind a desk. Sometimes they might give you jobs you don't like but I already knew how to hold bottles like that and how to lock cigarettes cases.. we are a bar of everything too… so having a good attention span is the most important part of a job were your handling expenses products it's important to know what your selling and how to card people correctly by using your best judgement. You don't have to be really smart but it helps when your used to being around people.

  7. this video singlegandedly made me start pouring my water this way (from bottle to glass). im 15 years old and have zero interest in becoming a bartender. my parents are getting freaked out on why i do it. thanks dude

  8. Every bartender I know, including myself, has had a pour spout come out of a bottle. Many, again including myself, have had it happen with grenadine! It's nasty, sticky & it stains!

  9. i started as a barback and worked my ass off for 1 year making like $15 per hour even on busy af weekends i was hustling even when no one there thought id be able to bartend but i learned i took notes i studid that shit. fast forward ive been bartending for 2 years and im working at a semi upscale restaurant with my favorite hours and just right amount of stress and workload and I bring home $200-300 every day i work feels great!!

  10. its really funny that I have an accent and I am asian i dont look like your typical bartender and customers try and challenge me and place weird af orders and i nail it everytime and they are always so surpised… dude just because im foreign doesnt mean im stupid hahah 😂

  11. Lol, I got my bar experience by deciding to run a pub. That was my way to get experience. My partner has a licence, so he had the experience to start with. Now I have experience 😂

  12. You work as a barback first…. The. After you learn how to prep limes lemons and clean up taking out trash an restocking. You get a chance at I e or two shifts if someone can't make it to work . THATS HIW YOU BECOME A BARTENDER.lying about experience will only get you in trouble and stressed out when. 1000 people are asking you for drinks at 1am

  13. TikTok=time to prepare.

    Bartending=no time, when lucky.

That oldtymer knew what he was talking about, lol..

"So, you have an E-personality, did it come from something, or, does it take 3-5 business days to develop?"

Not saying yours does, js. 80% of these social media folks, aren't what they appear to be.

  14. Started at my new job as a server; but I’m the only server who’s old enough to make drinks. That’s how I gained experience 💀😭 took way too long to

  15. Would you consider on doing a workshop just for this? Not smart serve but just that beginners thing? I think that would be amazing because even with Smart Serve, they still expect YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

  16. No i will not deal with amature or unfocused bartender i will order a water and duck out when there not looking, i can tell the second they engage me if im willing to pay the price to be served by them or if they dont clean the bartop thinking im just some normie who is ok with a filthy space. Way too many bars think they can just throw any 21 year old girl behind it and call it a day. -dont play games with whats on special such as try to deny cheaper well/specials on food or drink to try and jack the price up for a higher tip, if you are honest about cheaper tabs seasoned drinkers are going to tip you extra, trying to achieve a higher tab to get a higher % tip of that tab that hack does not work on seasoned drinkers. its insulting to the patron and you will get tipped less for being dishonest, we know what we want to spend and the more you pad the price the more that comes out of your tip. Refrain from gossiping with your patrons, dont throw your dirty laundry onto the street. Had an absolute horrendoes BT throw me under the bus with my dad for not talking to her enough after serving me lipstick stained/dried fruit on glass, when i nervously asked for clean glass she replaced it with anger. The next day my dad said i was mean to the BT he simps for.

  17. ok let's just say I said hypothetically on a interview that had 4 years experience and in reliaty I have like 3 months BUT cause of my confidence and graduation of bar school ( which was like a week) I got multiple jobs at events catering. also lady hold the spout between your index and middle finger and let the hole thing breathe I did that and I got hired also they will ask you like 3-5 Classic cocktail recipes ( Margherita, Old fashioned, Tequila sunrise, Cosmopolitan) the fancier places might ask you like 2- 3 more niche ones I just said that I worked at a khosher catering company and couldn't use those liquor since it's not khoser ( and I wasn't totally lying ) but they also like it I have my own signature recipe cocktails so yeah just be confident and learn the flavors at home and kill it on your interview ❤🎉
