I have been on a few dive boats and I think this one was top heavy, as a lot of them are, they just put more decks on for more paying guests:

Dive Pro is the same organization that has lost now 2 ships in a year out of 4 vessels they have. Sea Legend burnt down earlier this year. If you read the interviews of the survivors they have huge safety issues at that time.

What a bad design for a seaworthy boat, unfortunately. The Red Sea is popular with divers, I know, but let's hope they also gain a better understanding of their surroundings.

The news here in Norway reported that two Norwegians were among the rescued. But no Norwegians according to you. How come? Do you have any general recommendations picking a liveaboard boat? Would be interesting. What to look for?

I've dived the Red Sea for 30 years and have just returned from a seven night trip on M/Y Blue out of Port Ghalib. This vessel which whilst similar in design is certainly better equipped than Sea Storm but our hard and fast rule is that we only stay in a mid or upper deck cabins as they're easier to escape from and we carry personal EPIRBs but at the end of the day, boats sink regardless of technology, take Bayesian for example!
