Aah, you missed "my boat", a Hanse 348. Had some serious problems with it. The big plus cable let go from the fitting that is screwed on the starter. Some serious sweat went it to that to get it fixed. If your Yanmar panel just dies after shutting down the engine and doesnt respond? Check the plus cable on the left side of engine.

Vlicho Bay is nice to anchor. Taverne Elena recommended.
Sivota bay, Liotrivi pontoon also recommended if it is still open.

Hey Nick, when did you pass the bridge? (Date)
We've been there End of Sep – beginning of Oct. 2024 and they stopped their regular operation. I.e. they did not open at all, except once per Day for the official ferry. Several reasons have been told to us.

So what is the concept behind those spacers at the base of the mast? Do they kind of act as dampers or something? Seems odd that there are several of them rather than a single thick sheath. PS – I am finding it fascinating to see my every year Spring and Autumn sailing destinations and routes in an off-season perspective. Dunno what is coming next, but could you not have got on the town quay at Lefkas this time of the year? Or is it just full of winterised charter boats?

That blue oceanis 473 is not a drug boat... sadly it's something a lot more sinister than drugs. It's people, more specifically migrants from north Africa that are smuggled into the developed world via stolen sailboats. My buddy who delivers catamarans from France told me he sees the same thing in southern Sicily, and the police never furl the sails of seized boats. I don't know why but the shredded sails just hang like that for years on police docks.

Btw, just out of curiosity, was that Hanse 588 Mischief returned to charter use after it's little trans-altantic adventure?
