Why wouldn’t HipHop use it and other music. Michael McDonald was a member of the Doobie Brothers. A soulful racially mix band with black and white members. Mike’s soulful voice blended well with black radio. Why wouldn’t HipHop gravitate toward it. It was our music. Our nostalgic musical root.
