Great video Stephane showing the boat’s great features where it is really important – actually sailing upwind in strong wind!!! Great stuff. It would be nice to see more prolonged shots of the speed and angle displays to confirm what you said, even if they were out in as Picture in Picture. Holding the 9-11 knots steadily at the high angles in strong winds is very impressive!

Excellent clear no fuss safe and secure sailing in gusting conditions.

The design clearly slices through the chop ... It would be interesting to see
how the vessel handles in Steep waves at various points to the wind ... Especially for crew and multiple passengers.

I have read the reports from the prototype N. Atlantic circumnavigation in particular the Iceland Faroes gap passage with the tricky high pyramid form Colliding wave's

It would definitely make overcome some of the doubting Thomas's and complete the practicality and performance profile. .

Hey Stephane, such a great video! Thank you for sharing. I can confirm from my sail in France that the reefing from the bottom of the mast almost from inside the cockpit is such a secure and great feature. no more climbing around outside in the rain. a breeze!

I was in Annapolis in October to see a monohull and had some time so I went on board the Windelo 54 yachting second star. It was love at first sight. Still have the bag and brochure. It is now my favorite sailboat. Two questions:
1. What does one lose by going from yachting to sport? Obviously more expensive, less environmentally friendly because of additional carbon and one has to be more vigilant in adjusting sails to weather conditions but anything else?
2. Mainsaill, solent, and…gennaker or Oxley (or both)? Maybe answered in the downsailing video.

I already know that Windelo have good yacht. But also need to develop best after service system quality. It could be great helpful to make world best on business area. I also watching to buy one asap.

An excellent run through. The visability, the stability and the ergonomics make the Windelo forward cockpit the absolute best-in-class for performance catamarans. And being able to tack at 33 AWA is a game-changer for passage-making.
