Why nobody questioning the pic of the vessel. Used .the vessel picture seems to be not the Same vessel. The mast and shape of the superstructure and the white Hull above the water line?

thats a shame. i was looking forward to them righting the vessel first with pictures of a 20m mast sticking out of the water, 70m mast and its under 50m of water

as a pilot you learn a lot of the unpredictable distructive nature of micro bursts… is it something new for a captain on ships? are they aware of contributing conditions? maybe there is a lack of knowledge (for amateurs), definitely some learnings regarding this catastrophic outcome?

I find it ridiculous that the Italian law system can implicate causing the sinking of a vessel to a deck hand.(among others onboard ). The charges are so serious, this could destroy his chances of any further marine employment.
By all accounts, he HELPED SAVE several of the clients on the boat. Also, I did see an article suggesting, with video shots, that the shell door was closed. Unless it was opened during the storm !

Far easier than the Costa Concordia #costa_concordia so yes proof positive that anything and everything can happen that is bad when on the water
