8. Yes yes yes I agree with everything said. However you say one of the biggest solutions is to buy decent players. Yes obviously but the problem is the “ decent” players don’t want to go to united because they can go to better clubs.
   I’m going to throw in a curveball and ask what role do the fans have in all of this ? I’m talking about fans leaving the ground after 65 minutes or so and fans turning on players and I mean really turning on players ? And this happens because United fans have been used to success so it seems a large amount of fans really go in hard on players and that creates extreme pressure on players and players feeling unloved so to speak. So maybe it’s about time a lot of United fans stop behaving like spoiled children who just expects success because of past success. And maybe a lot of United fans need to get behind the team when the team need them the most Instead of only get behind the team when they are winning.
   It’s time a lot of United fans need to show some humility and get behind the team, despite them not being as successful as they would like them to be. Having loyal fans that stick together through thick and thin counts for a lot. It really does. When Manchester City went down into the lower divisions, they kept a core group of really loyal fans that fully got behind the team through those really dark years and it made a huge difference and helped city on the pitch.

26. Kieran – job cuts were not saving pennies. It is £40-50m per year. You know this as a finance expert but knowingly did not talk about this particular number.
    You justify UTD needing more employees – 30/40% more than Big 6 clubs, by saying we are so big. So how come we have 80-100% more employee then Madrid and Barca who are similar sized clubs?

    You have an aversion to job cuts and hence knowingly misled the people On X and in this video by giving incomplete information which suited your agenda

27. We lose to Tottenham and the spurs fans are protesting their ownership. The commentary team are sympathetic. A brand new state of the art stadium they can use to generate revenues. The youth team players on Manchester Bench are sat on INEOS sponsored seats.
    I really hate INEOS and I hate Ratcliffe and Brailsford and I bloody hate the Glazers.

33. Before INEOS took over the playing side, United under Woodward etc between 2014 and 2023 had an average finishing position of 4th, which includes two 2nd place and two 3rd place finishes. True, not great, and not close to where we want to be. BUT…

    United now lie 15th. That’s on INEOS and their series of awful decisions in the last 9 months AND Amorim whose pig-headedness exiles their best and most experienced goalscorer and his refusal to tweak his “system” despite undeniable evidence that it is NOT working in the Premier League…

38. Great interview. Many myths dispelled. United are the BIGGEST spenders in the transfer market, the figures are insane. Sacking staff and cutting charity funding will have next to zero impact.

43. Our revenue is 600 million per season. We should be dining at the top of the table for transfers. Brilliant point that revenue to employee wages of OT staff is a pittance. Kieran is on point with alot of what he says.

47. I will say, this was a superb interview. I have a personal view about Kevin Maguire but when he talks football finances I love to listen because he is really knowledgable on this topic. So I have to put my personal bias about Maguire aside and just listen to him. It doesn’t hurt me to do that at all.

    On a level though, Flex, I wonder if you’ve dropped your weird anti-Bruno Fernandes agenda after Maguire explained what kind of an individual Bruno is, and how Bruno is cognizant of the working class folk at the club and their morale. When Maguire said, “if my captain did what Bruno did for the employees and I read about that in the papers, I would be proud, I would say yeah, that’s my captain”. I really do hope Flex absorbed that one and realises there are much, much bigger problems at Man United adversely impacting the on-field performances, and I hope Flex doesn’t get back on the baseless Bruno bashing bus from tomorrow…

48. Let's be real INEOS are cannon fodder for the Glazers. Where was all this hate when the part sale happened and INEOS got accepted over Qatar?. Go back and look at comments online and all you got was we dont want oil money ets and how SJR will be taking control of UTD and the Glazers were done bollocks. SJR is going round treating this club like he does with his other small clubs and its never gonna work. Until they start to invest cash out of their own pockets and into the team we will never see any real change. What happened as soon as the window shut? They drop the we are broke story as they do every fucking Jan as an excuse not to spend big in the summer and UTD fans went mad this time and then what in a week they then start dropping the HUGE summer ahead spin to calm fans down which as Flex said that could mean anything. Glazers will never sell UTD its just a fact of life. They are raking in millions and at any time they wanted to make mega cash they part sell another 25% making them a fortune which we never seen a single penny of that cash. Until there is a complete merch and gam ban from fans nothing changes and trust me UTD fans wont stop buying merch or going to games so the Glazers stay.
