I'm now seeing some nice motor sailors selling for less than half a crappy house around me. I live close enough to a large body of water that is connected to the ocean, that I could buy one of these and just keep it in a slip. Then one day when I get fed up with my job, I can just quick and sail off into the sunset.

I am a retired American shop teacher , living in Thailand . My wife ( Thai. ) thinks we need a boat for 6 , I have doubts . but looking at sailboats 34' – 40'. Mainly to liveaboard & Island hop .
