I prefer the ship within a ship on MSC versus The Retreat. You really are in a capsule! Even the elevators will be private. That’s a great perk for SPA days.

Celebrity’s Luminae is our favorite restaurant at sea so far. We were let down by their lounge. The Ascent is a beautiful ship. We feel we didn’t need to be in a suite to enjoy it. The MSC Top Sail keeps us coming back. We were in a Magic Carpet suite, which was a nice suite, but was a long walk to the lounge. On MSC we sneak into the Top Sail for snacks 3/5 times a day. lol.

We booked an Explora Journeys cruise too. I think that’s a game changer. Would love to hear your thoughts!

We have done Haven 5 times and now trying MSC Yacht Club on the Seascape in September b2b4 and 3 plus overnight. We can’t wait.

Hello,
Thank you for your review of MSC.
May have to consider their cruise line after this review. We don't care to sail on MEGA ships of, say, over 3200 passengers, but if we were to do it,
we would definitely do the yacht club experience with MSC cruises.

We have recently booked with MSC and their luxury line Explora Journeys on Explora III in a Cove Residence suite on deck 8 embarking out of Bridgetown Barbados for
8 nights / 9 days in March of 2027 to the depper southern Caribbean and back to Miami.
We are looking obviously forward to that refined elegance experience with only 940 passengers.

Do you think the MSC Yacht club is better than celebrity's edge class ships and the retreat?
The reason i ask is....

We are also booked for our first experience on an edge class ship in the Ascent in a Aqua Sky Suite and the retreat on deck 10 to the Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean ABC Islands for March 2026 as well. All a first-time experience.

thanks guys,you have convinced us to consider MSC yacht club for next year, 2 Celebrity cruises booked for this year but havnt been retreat as yet. We appreciate how you seem like nice people and i can imagine enjoying your company on a cruise, i love the social side of it.
We have only been on 1 cruise last year with celebrity and it has us hooked, this after putting it off for many years so very glad we tried it.
