A small induction hob might be an asset, but one needs a steel or cast iron flat bottomed pan or kettle, enamel does not affect the performance, a lot of modern ones are compatible. Assuming that you have at least a 2Kw 240v AC supply on board when not on shore power. Did you fix the regulator the traditional way by giving it a whack, a salty atmosphere can make them a bit sticky over time if not been used regularly, change it asap for peace of mind, one can't be too careful with gas.
Oops, should have read down a bit, you changed the regulator, even Propane bottles can have a low evaporation rate in cold weather, the trick is to have the bottle at an angle to increase the surface area of the liquid gas. You knew that though with Acetylene bottles in a cold workshop or heaven forbid outside in winter.

Hey Dave love to see you out and about in Scotland! I'm planning on heading up there myself in a few months (based on Fleetwood).

Out of curiosity, do you have a video looking at the Bimini top that you have? Did you do it yourself or was it done by a supplier? If the latter can you share who? I'm basically looking to do something similar for my Beneteau 361.
