This is all good. BUT, without the proper funding, poltical will, and support from congress, senate, and the president, Also, the existing roblem of CCP having its own assets interfering inside our agencies, this 2040 target will just drag on.

Just impose death penalty for corruption then you will have unlimited funds for the military. No more throwaway infra projects that need rebuilds every fiscal year.

Nice, very important that the Navy in wartime is able to secure all internal waters including the Sulu Sea so it can be used as a staging point for offensive ops. I think this is something that is achievable with the right procurement

They should order 4 HDP-1600 OPVs with Airbus VSR700 unmanned helicopters for ASW, 2 KSS-III attack submarines with K-VLS, 3 more Shaldag patrol boats, and submersible drones for coastal defense before 2030. Complement them with more BrahMos anti-ship batteries, ballistic missiles like the Pralay, Taurus anti-ship cruise missiles for the FA-50, and configure ATR 72s for ASW. All LPDs should be equipped with CIWS and perform ASW. You cannot compete with China in tonnage. Go asymmetrical.

4 HDF-6000
12 Miguel Malvar-class frigates
4 Jose Rizal-class corvettes
8 Rajah Sulayman-class OPVs
6 3,000-ton submarines

*Yes, Jose Rizal-class frigates should be change into corvettes
