Hey guys we got out just before the cold front ( Nov. 18th) and had pick up some confused seas north of Ft. Pierce. Made it to No name Harbor on the 22nd.
We went to the fuel dock at dinner key and leaving out the channel there here’s something that you don’t here everyday that totally confused me coming across the intercom from the bow “ DON’T RUN OVER THE DOG “!!! . And sure enough there is a Cattle Dog swimming in the channel that I had to dodge that had jumped off a dinghy about 50’ behind him.
I have been sailing since I was 9 and seen a lot but that’s definitely a first for me.
Next day we made the jump over to Bimini just fine but the Tradewinds ain’t been favorable for south travel so been doing a lot of motor sailing.
Currently at Staniel Cay waiting out a weather front to pass so getting a few hatch lenses changed out.
The new refrigerator compressor system I just revamped to newer more efficiency unit is working great. The new lithium battery system( 925AH battery bank) and new solar panels is working absolutely great. The solar panels are the bi-facial ones so they can even collect the reflected sunlight as my big ones overhang the back of the boat.
Hope your repairs go smoothly and you can get off the dock soon

You guys should dump the cat and buy a Trawler or other boat with engines. Because you motor around everywhere anyway.

Have you read about the increase in fees for the Bahamas, many of the cruisers are avoiding going there.
