1. I don’t understand why they would take a 4 month old out on a boat even without the heat. Four month old babies are VERY fragile. The wind would make it hard for them to breathe, they can’t sleep safely (safe sleep), they could get knocked over more easily, a life jacket is pointless because the baby will get shaken baby syndrome if it falls in anyway then you factor in the heat… babies that young can’t sweat, can’t take in excess amounts of water to stay hydrated, can’t regulate their breathing nor communicate once they start to feel heat exhaustion AND then they LEFT the baby alone to “nap” while it was likely passing out from the heat! I wouldn’t even leave my child to sleep alone at home without wearing a snuza hero to make sure I’m alerted if they ever stopped breathing even if from SIDS and yes SIDS can be prevented with CPR even if the baby’s heart has already stopped if it’s caught immediately. In that case it would be called an ALTE. These parents were EXTREMELY negligent. Even though they were warned, I think they thought it would be fine. I see this all the time but with seatbelts and car seats.

  2. Why would you do a GoFundMe page when your baby dies? That’s insane. I think it looks really suspicious. And selfish.

  3. The GoFundMe is disgusting. It doesn't take $50,000 to bury a 4-month old. They have enough money to go boating in Lake Havasu but can't afford to purchase their deceased daughter a tiny little coffin? They are evil.

  4. There's definitely a child negligence charge in there. Tana's parents didn't protect her and instead exposed her to conditions that her little body was unable to survive.

  5. Who’s taking these pictures!? Omg what is going on with this desire to show off everything in your gosh darn life these days. It’s embarrassing.

  6. I understand that many people are in denial about our climate changing. They simply don't accept that humans of any age can be at risk when temperatures reach 120 degrees. It wasn't that long ago that a California couple killed themselves, their infant, and the family dog on a day hike in an inferno without adequate water. In the Arizona case the added feature of the Go Fund Me money is just disturbing. I see many references to the cases of infant deaths in hot cars where parents are distracted and a child dies. This situation with the boat is worse. The parents weren't distracted, they left the boat and were swimming because they were hot. Let a jury decide.

  7. Where I don’t agree the parents should have brought a child that young on a boat, especially in the heat. Is it not possible the child had a seizure and passed away from it? The death was ruled an accident and anytime I have had a seizure the hospital/neurologist can’t see it on scans after the fact. If the parents truly wanted to hurt her couldn’t they have made it look like they all fell out of the boat and she drowned? Or the boat tipped and they drowned? (Not sure what kind of boat it was) I supposed anything is possible these days and don’t know what to think

  8. If parents prioritize their fun activities over the safety of their kids, shows how unqualified they are to be parents.
Don't have kids if you are not willing to put their needs before your hobbies or fun.

  9. They need to be charged for murder. And if you didn't know, a Go Fund Me was opened for the parents after the baby was killed by them.

  10. Parents should absolutely face charges! Dad is a cop so probably won’t. Boating and drinking over the 4th of July with an infant in that heat was not for “family fun”. They were selfish.

  11. WHO goes boating in summer with a baby ..babies dont have a temputure control ..sorry they were selfish living in South Africa you dont take a baby in the sun …on a boat …its unheard of ..

  12. I say they should be charged with child neglect, manslaughter, or something. They knew better, considering he is a police officer, and i believe she was a nurse. They should've done right by their poor baby girl. Get a babysitter or don't go!

  13. What did I just hear? Did he actually say that because the area is "conservative" it is not the best jury pool?!
    What does that even mean?

PS: I REALLY hope these heartless prosecutors leave these parents alone.
They made a deadly mistake and lost their child.
That is punishment enough and it looks like they had an older child that would lose their parents.

  14. Isn’t it possible that a parent could think it would be a great way to stay cool by going to the lake for the hot day and getting in the water to get cool? definitely argumentative

  15. It should have dt. Penalty! Why investigator said accidental death.. no it aint. They left their child to chill as they are aware that the temp is high.. poor child 😢😢😢😢
