People are gregarious in nature and To do what you are doing you REALLY REALLY have to be comfortable in your own skin. I plan to buy a boat in a few years and hopefully circumnavigate and I'd be lying if I said being alone and naked in the middle of nowhere isn't a huge part of the draw for me. In a word, freedom. 13. I see the thumbnail for this video and was like "oh where did she get that little sail boat from?" SUDDENLY your small sailboat is storing a WHOLE OTHER SAILBOAT????? You have some empty closets and another sailboat in there???? You know what? you are the perfect example of how to sail around the world. You are strong and brave, and nit scared to really share all of it. Lots of channels are upbeat and skip most bad parts. I enjoy you sharing all your thoughts and feelings, and when you do stuff like stop and say "my lip is burning… spicy hot on sunburn is the worst feeling in the world", and then continue on, I don't even know how to describe why that is so enjoyable. I totally feel like I am sitting across from you and that just happened. You are in a 26 footer, it has a separate bedroom area, and you are carrying another sailboat…where were the mast and boom on there????LOL. I just love you! No not creepy in love infatuation, I just love you and your channel. Being able to be alone and at peace is a real small percentage of the world's population. I'm 50 and have always enjoyed hanging out with me. When my son goes to college I may just do it. Life is so very short, 50 years went by so quick. Not long and I will be too and and weak.

19. I loved exploring the coastlines and marinas in my sailing dinghy. I would take something to eat and drink and could be gone for hours and sometimes, all day. Several times I didn't get back to my boat until midnight. Yes, always take your oars with you because things happen. I love sailing and it was more fun in the little boat than the much faster 40' big boat. I hope you continue to use your dinghy sail rig for exploring.

21. Holly. I subscribed! I’m a key sailor. My sail is the key to the ignition. I tried sailing with a friend on an M scout. Got beat up bad with cuts and scrapes. Only tried it one time afterwards on a small dingy boat like yours – just another flop. Now, if you think for a second I’m not a water guy, well you would be wrong. Been boating for 50 years and had a Captains license for 35 years. So, if you would, please provide sailing instructions, lingo, etc., in your videos. Even something simple like the dingy sailing. Instructions on the Gecko would be nice to. I would really like to learn by watching. Also, wear some gloves when hoisting the anchor for safety and please tie off when on the deck at sea. I see you do it, but there are times when it’s by passed in calm waters.

24. I love the sailing dingy. We also had one on the cat. Also I love to see how you secure the anchor with the rope to the boat. We eventually had to do it on the cat as well because we smashed a piece…sorry I learned all the names in french and I know nothing in English…but yeah love to see how you secure the anchor on the boat. Love love love…learning so much of these videos and so much fun

29. i just discvoerd you. I plan to watch all of your videos from the beginning. I am up to number e6. I plan to sail my boat across the atlantic this comming summer. I have a million questions. but surly some of them will be answered in the upcoming vidios I have yet to see. But the one which i really want to Know is why do you choose to go alone?

43. I don't know how I found your channel but I went back to the start and am also binge watching. You are living a dream I have had for years and working on making that a reality. I was a mechanic for years, worked for Chris Craft building them for a bit so as for maintenance and repairs I have the knowledge and experience but never made any real money to put away. Now I drive a truck and the money is good, very good so I am saving up quickly and I have learned much about living in a small space along the way being over the road coast to coast here in the USA for years on end. One day soon the right boat will come into my life and I will start selling off all my music gear and drum kit (Probably keep a Guitar and/or Bass) retire a little early load it up and set out.
