Always do zippers on all 4 sides of your dodger panels for ease of replacement.

Matt there is no flex panel worth a shit, they all suck. Once you go to Victron and hard panels all your power problems will be solved. I tried every brand of controllers and once you switch to Victron your life will change. I made all of your mistakes all ready.

You might want to check into this. I think when shutting down the diesel one should kill the engine before turning the key off. That is how I was taught, but maybe someone with more experience can chime in here.
Suggestion get a higher output alternator for your Diesel engine too charge your batteries. Maybe could substitute your Portable generator.
