16:26 Who is Harry Nees?
I’m not saying it should be a thing, but I enjoyed the reveal aspect of turning the lights on. Is that the ship’s horn ready to take someone’s head off behind the seating? 12:42 😂 LOL
Lol we bulit a "Green" home in Northern California and scored one of the highest leeds points for the year. Don't kid yourself the only reason the City and County made us hoop jump was for taxes and to increase our overall costs to try to prevent construction. If environmental goals are to prevent thats one thing if its to artifically increase costs thats unethical. I would never do so-called green again what everyone should agree reduce the TOC and daily operating not by mandate but via invovation governments are not capable. Having been told to my face by so many in the goverment in NCal green scream we dont care.
@16:05 Nicholas did you imply Maggie to be an “Old Bag”!? Sir, you at the very least and this being Mother’s Day owe Maggie an apology and dinner out… perhaps a full-grain leather cream message, for that top grain buttery smooth feeling…after all loyalty is priceless, so pay up!
It looks like it's a mild hybrid drive train. I believe the motors are the black units between the engine and the pods with the orange cables coming out of them that can be seen around 17:51 in the video. As others have said, it's not the most beautiful boat going, but I really like the direction some of these boats are going with their hybrid/electric drivetrains.
Nick, a brilliantly paced video as always. But Azimut have made a big mistake, they've not dressed the boat. There is no art, no glass wear, no trinkets and nothing that says home. It's a bad error. There's a reason "show" homes/boats/caravan/motorhomes are all adorned with home comforts. A lot of the comments are justified if they can't see themselves living there.
That has to be one of the most uninspired, phoned in boat designs I've seen in a very long time.
Of all the things to do the “sustainable” thing with, a yacht just feels odd. Clearly it’s only to make the wealthy yacht owner feel better, but when they only make 100 of these, is that necessary?
Hey Nick, thank you for bringing us this extravagant piece of pleasure boat! While i must admit it does not speak to me personally as much as other vessels you have toured I must say that i sincerely appreciate a company like AZIMUT to use thier margin to try new ways. This boat might not be the absolute hit yet, since it seems a little too… beta versionous… (If that's a word) Maybe though some of these ideas will find thier way into new boats! Let's embrace that the yachting industrie is a place where new invetions can realy be set to the trial. It's also what it symbols for me: Daring new Stuff! And this Boat certainly does.
The hammock is a beautiful detail, in the correct corner!!!!!
This guy is the Outdoor Boys of boat reviews. Love him
Distinct lack of TV's on that boat
oof, inside looks like a doctors waiting room
AN eco-friendly motor yacht is a contradiction in terms, performative and pointless. If you're worried about sustainablilty then a sail yacht would make much more sense.
All this for 30 miles of electric. I’m sure they know the market their going after, but seems cheap.
I like this uncommon layout but I agree on the fact that the decor is not at the Azimut level.
I'm going to look at yachts now
I like hybrid features. I think xquisites new 60 power cat, with eletrical motor, diesel engine, generator with solar and lithium batt is how all yachts should be.
Cant wait to see what the next 5 to 10 years bring in innovation, including the modx catamaran with its new sail tech
It was an OK boat. For the price, you've shown us MUCH better. I just can't put my finger on it, but the boat was underwhelming in almost every category. While not horrible, you've shown us MUCH MUCH better for less money. Keep up the great videos.
not the best use of space. Things feel on top of each other.
I really like the innovative thinking and in seeking to minimize use of fuel, and the new tech. There is a lot that goes into an environmentally conscious boat, and we always benefit when we generate enough electricity through solar etc to run the power, it is quiet. I felt we ran out of space when we got to the galley, and i liked how they were attempting to make it accessible to a family skippering their yacht. I laughed thinking the auto shut off lights were messing with you – how can it not have them?! I loved the aft deck the best, it was awesome. The cork too, its also way easier on the feet barefoot or with shoes.
What makes so many yachts a no for me is I want a crew so I can do work and relax too, and I cannot put any crew down a hatch. I can't. It has to be by the beachclub. For the size, Princess does a nice one. I would like them to put more into the crew quarters, there are many boats I will never consider because of the space, and the lack of light and good ventilation. I love your videos, even with the lights all being off, you dont miss a beat and have us chuckling.
Pretty much lost me with the statement environmentally sustainable on a Yacht… 1984 in spades…
