  7. I guess I'm in the minority, but after the first 2 songs I'm really unimpressed. The songwriting isn't anything close to their first albums and the melodies just aren't that interesting. I was hooked after 30 seconds the first time I heard Vero and Blood Leaves a Trail. These new songs have none of the immediate, visceral impact of their earlier efforts. And what in the world is going on with that snare drum sound? It's laughable – it sounds like a parody of the excessive snare drum sounds of the 80's. Man, I was so stoked for new SYC and now I'm worried about the rest of the album. Hopefully it's nothing like these first 2 songs.

Perfect…tickles this old bass players ears good-n- FUNKY! like a round strung jazz bass thru an overdriven ampeg SVT with a wall of 8" drivers… FUNKIN' it like GRAND FUNK ala 1970! or Geezer Butler with his overdriven Laneys! good shit fellas, real good shit! STAY SAFE MAN! SLAVA UKRAINII!

  17. Just heard of this band for the first time last night, this album has been on repeat since. They’re sound is just sooo good and exactly what I was looking for. Only a few bands in the US, mostly the northeast have a similar sound. Would love to see Somali Yacht Club play in the Philly area. Bring them here! You got a bunch of new fans last night. Thanks to Ryan for introducing this band to the Philly metal/hardcore music scene.
