Yep, a flybridge for sure. A crane built into the transom would be helpful, so you don't have all that ironmongery under water of a hi/low platform. A bigger galley and aft U-shaped seating would be better. A proper battle-wagon.
Brilliant review as always Alex, thank you.
I really like the boat, although I wouldn’t choose any of the options chosen by this owner!
I still prefer the interior layout of the Targa 46, although when you mentioned triple outboards as an option I must say my interest was piqued.
Personally I think I'd go for the traditional cockpit layout and the larger galley and look at options to fully enclose the cockpit with canvases to increase all-weather lounging space. I do agree with this owner's choice to just use deck chairs on the bow but only because I would absolutely go for the flybridge option and the bow would see little use. I'm a little disappointed with the amount of fridge/freezer space and I didn't notice any laundry equipment (an option on the Targa) however I feel this could be remedied with all the extra room I'd free up by going with outboard engines, I figure a chest freezer and a laundry pair would fit right in where the giant Volvo lumps come out.
The only thing I need to know now is if it performs as well as the Targa. Consensus seems to be that the Targa is a proper sleeper, a wolf in sheeps clothing so to say.
When can we expect a sea trial Alex?
Maybe it's the owner spec, but i keep thinking that Targa fit out quality is a bit better.
Targa 41 fly for me please 👍🤘
Nope..
Sorry 🙏 but Targa 37 or 41.
i prefer the forward bow seating of the 37 and 32 if the 41 had non cfc that would be the flagship model for sure of the 3 top brands, Targa, Sargo and Nordstar. why did they put a cleat in the door in yhe pass through.. tripping hazard and the helm is blocking the door on the skippers side. not a very big deck space for the northwest and Alaska. we like to be outside in the beauty and fishing.. needs a tweaking sorry.. form and function wins for me with Targa..
Thanks for the tour. Will they add three feet to the beam if a customer requests it? Far too narrow and cramped for a 50’ cruiser.
Stand-up height at the helm? – if not, then it's a no thanks. No washer/dryer…
I don't like the layout too much, it wastes a lot of space. How tall are you?
There's something ever-so-slightly wrong about patio doors on a boat like this. It'll be crazy paving on the bathing platform next.
Daddy? Why say such Bullshit? NordStar didn't make a pilothouse before 2003.
That like 10 years after Sargo and 20 years after Targa. NordStar is clearly the newcomer 👎
I don’t get how you can say either the cockpit, or the bow are not “sociable”. From where I sit, both are VERY sociable.
The owner has done everything wrong with the speccing. Everything.
Targa for the win every time. The layout on this one just feels wrong.
