Once you begin to lie, you go down.
It’s a good thing the yacht wasn’t blown up by the Bahamian Navy
Well I’m sure he paid another $1 million at least to local officials.
Money talks now he walks.
A conservative smuggling firearms? Say it ain't so.
How stupid, to re-enter the US without throwing known contraband overboard. It sounds like there are US federal regulations about "importing" arms involved, since the ones described sound like they would be permitted under Florida law. "Police" generally refer to state or local, not federal, authorities in the US.
You DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER WEAPONS in Florida. In fact, it is ILLEGAL under the Florida constitution, for the state government to keep a registry. The only exception is items RESTRICTED by the (federal law) National Firearms Act. You must apply for, register, and keep paperwork with the individual weapon/ item at ALL TIMES if in possession of a suppressor, machine gun, short barreled rifle/shotgun, 'any other weapon', or a 'destructive device'. YES, MACHINE GUNS ARE LEGAL IN MOST US STATES. They are just heavily monitored, and prohibitively expensive.
I bring more guns than that to the range if i plan to be there more than 2 hours. Gun running? Ridiculousness
👎🏼 Yeah, laws are set in place, UNLESS you got $$$ ! 👎🏼
Sounds like some people there just got rich and a variety of guns
Florida does not register firearms,
Police went on returned yacht, because police and government officials are also notorious drug dealers and drug smugglers……
Look at the unsolved murders in that place, of tourists. ????
Drug dealers, have long bragged about $2500 graft to police and government officials and they had run of island with no worries
Notice what appears to be the two decoy weapons. If they were ever accused I'll bet they had the classic Remington and the old bolt action rifle on hand as decoys while the heavy ones were concealed. But this is just my guess because of how the two stand out from the rest. And in the way that they do.
What is considered a large cache of weapons? 27 guns is a small private collection, these days
who gives a fuk 8 weapons boo hoo why didnt he declare even 10 weapons shit if i traveler would have at least 3 aks for defense who knows who is going to attack me i have to defend myself hmmmmm is grenade launches negotiable
What about in international waters? What are the rules there, and who if anyone, enforces them?
Did he really intend to sell or distribute? Or is that what their law presumes in the presence of this number/type of firearms? If selling or distributing then perhaps this is the tip of an iceberg
Sir, I think you need to own firearms and participate in gun range, gun show, and gun rights activities for six months to a year before you talk about them again. The way you speak about firearms you sound like either a gun grabber, or someone groomed hard and put away wet by the deep state gun grabbing Censorship Industrial Complex.
He should’ve been given a custodial sentence because his plans were to distribute them and I’m almost certain he wasn’t doing it for money, so what was his purpose? A deliberate attempt to contribute to the chaos and destabilization of a nation through crime and violence maybe?
..GOD BLESS AMERICA 🙏 🇺🇸 and 2ND RITGHT TO BEAR ARMS
weird they are strict on gun laws yet allow drug dealers and human smugglers to load boats in the bahamas to ship to the us and other countries..
I'll bet the total cost of that fine was far more than 1.4 million. The judge had to have taken his share so Finkl didn't have to spend any time in jail. I'm just guessing, of course. The life of the super wealthy is far removed from the lives plebians like me live
In Florida, you do not have to register your firearms. And you can also legally conceal carry or open carry your firearms without a permit. Freedom!!
Made it sound like he was carrying tons of weapons. Most homes in the country anyways in America have that many weapons .
"Gun runner" most American gun owners have more than that 🤣
Everyone around the world should be able to own a firearm with the exception of violent criminals and mentally unstable people.
The world wouldnbe a much safer and nicer place not to mention criminals would think twice before comitting a crime.
The boat and or owner was being monitored. It wasn't just about a few guns.
Thanks for the update on the Loon Captain lawsuit.
1.4 Mill is a pocket change
another island shakedown….
Sounds like a story written by Ernest Hemingway.
The guy's a head of a major corporation. He's traveling abroad. How many yacht channels have reported in the last five years of people boarding neighboring vessels with the intent to rob the occupants. How many news reports have we seen on YouTube of boardings at night resulting in the deaths of the yacht owners? How many cruisers have uploaded videos of chance encounters at sea with fishermen in speedboats. The cache of weapons didn't seem extreme at all. It seems enough to arm the crew to remain a viable deterrent against any bad actors wishing to harm a CEO of his standing. He definitely should have gone through proper channels, but in doing so, he'd be tipping his hands to whoever would want to do him harm (potentially). Regardless, you don't mess with customs.
1.4 million fine is straight corruption
Great report! It seems pretty much an inside job. Probably some mad ex-wife or some former employee. Honestly, Bahamas is beautiful but a very dangerous place. Both police, thugs, judges and politicians are in the same team. Don't take any chances…
being wealthy🤭 can come in handy sometimes.
It takes alot of staff to man a large yacht, that sense of privacy, or being alone is impossible
Yawn… a true nothingburger
Just having the weapons on the vessel and the authorities not knowing or approving them is grounds for immediate seizure and auction and imprisonment of all aboard the vessel. These scumbags got off very lightly.
All 100% legal in Florida ( not Bahamas). And a modest collection for an enthusiast. And… for an "enthusiast" quit possible that he did not realize he had guns in his closet. Remember, he is a US Citizen so owning and storing guns is not unusual. It's normal.
