BIG Ocean Crossing - 4400 mile - LANDFALL | Navigarea Florenței Ep.143

1. You two rock! Not many accomplish this. You are elite sailors. Thanks for the video. Fair winds and following seas. Sail On!

  2. Guys I've watched your channel from the beginning. I'm approaching 70 yrs young and Proud of you both. I say this now because I worry that when you complete your journey you will disappear. For me. I thank you for every ep you have produced. Love you both.

  3. Do you have a hand bearing compass on board? Can be handy to watch how the bearing changes with time for random lights when you can't see any of the steaming lights.

  4. The documentation of your adventures is absolutely brilliant! Great story telling and beautiful pictures. Absolutely love it. Thank you for sharing. Fair winds, following seas and many adventures to come.

  5. I’ve really enjoyed watching your circumnavigation and am hoping to do it someday with my sons after retirement. I always wondered what you did about bugs with you rotating shifts and having the hatch open a lot of the time. Have you ever tried a code zero type of sail on Florence?

  6. Another lovely episode and good to see you in French Guyana. Did you get to Saint Laurent? We still remember seeing the old prison there with people living in it, some were prisoners who had served their time and did not return to France.

  7. It has been a long time and many nm since you left Richards Bay and later Hout Bay in South Africa. Well done!! I will be following you for the rest of your journey. Take care.

  8. I'm taking notes because I'm doing this passage in a few months time, exact route except from Port Owen and skipping Namibia, great videos👍👍

  9. Brings it all back to me, 1985, and calling at Cayenne, the old wooden buildings trying their best to resist the jungle rot and termites, the fast flow of tide in the river, paddling the dinghy with palm frond paddles, our boat dragging away on the ebb and being rescued by a Basque family on a neighbouring boat. Walking around Isle Royale and feeling the bad vibe of it's dark history and passing on a visit to Devil's Island as that would have been worse. Courou, rocket ready to go, it's technical presence incongruous in the wild setting.

  10. Hi to you both,I really love your globe trotting sailing travels and adventures, and always look forward to the next episode.I understand that dolphins use the pressure waves in front of whales to ease the strain and reduce energy requirements on their journeys.Thank you for taking me along on true blue water sailing.Roly 🇬🇧

  12. I wouldn't of thought about the dredging equipment effect on your depth indicator. It makes sense once you mentioned it. Thanks for sharing. As always, looking forward to the next adventure.⛵️

  13. Again i am impressed by your video and story telling, thank you very much. By the way , have a thin dynema or else line as spinakersheet in light airs, it helps the spinnaker stay full.

  14. Guys, amazing to read you reached finally ashore after this long passage. Amazing. May I ask what you filmed at the end of the video – is this a plane or flare trail? Skies have looked a bit suspicious around minute 22:35. Many thanks.

  15. What an extraordinary journey its been across the South Atlantic. Its a passage not commonly done so a real adventure! Supurb music in this video. I enjoyed every aspect of it! Be safe and enjoy South America!

  16. I have received several messages from someone here asking me to text them..I don't know how to do that. But I would like to hear your reply to my post about the the book "Coasting". Thanks. Your Videos are wonderful, by the way !
