  2. I know just enough about woodwork to say that yaht is worth restoring but i hope you have very deep pockets.

  3. I see you're not a man of small projects, are you? May I suggest you to change the boat name one more time? After some investigation I found that no big ship has ever carried the name "Nostromo" and that will be a name that will for sure make people smile and engage with you in interesting conversations. And Nostromo is italian for Boatswain, which is the role you will perform until it is done and you upgrade to Captain.

  4. Burgher made fine yachts… but oh is that going to be a lot of work to even get to where it could be put back in the water….a ‘ little water infiltration’ is always a really bad situation. Galvanic corrosion on metal hulls an fittings, wood rot, rotten fuel- you’ve got a project there mate…

  5. After watching, In too Deep, content, doesn't seem too bad, nothing more tall people like talking about more then being tall.

  6. You never watched the Treasure of Oak Island have you? Boats are a hole in the water you throw money into. You managed to do that with a boat on land.

  7. I reckon you overpaid for the boat also Detroit Diesels ?? It's a lot of work but if the diesels do run OK then make sure all holes are welded up so it will not sink then launch asap and one important thing, these diesels NEED reliable cooling, unlike petrol engines, Diesels are not forgiving so if they run without cooling then it's goodbye Diesels. Once on the water you will be able to see what needs priority work.

  8. have you had an experienced diesel mechanic/survey guy give you a realistic assessment of the condition of the power plants? Diesel fuel will need to be filtered and reconditioned. Soooo much to this project.

  9. I would secure a warehouse space and strip the internals out to gain access to to every part of the support structure. That will save you hours of attempting to gain access to all your systems.

  10. With all due respect, you got bigger fish to fry (no pun intended) than brushing off 15+ years of dirt off of furniture upholstery. Hull integrity-structurally sound and certified sea worthy? engine assessment and rebuild? steering and navigation subsystem assessment, and complete redo of the galley….

  11. When your cousin in law starts explaining how 2 stroke engines work (ignition on the up and down stroke) and how the lubrication works for diesels (you mix the oil with the fuel)….: don’t take his word for it…🥴🤣

  12. im not a boat guy but since everyone else is giving you advice i might as well offer mine, forget about it ever going in the water, if it truly is sinatras boat buy a lot for it to fit on and park it, fix it up and rent it out as a stay in frank sinatras boat for a week. finding a spot near water in a touristy spot would be ideal
