Nu fi ACEST tip! | Pasul 331

  1. I remember being in Soller as a kid in the mid 80s and my parents and uncle kept saying its too crowded and its not like it used to be in the 60s. It looks even more crowded now, 10 fold. Beautiful place but I bet it was stressful which unfortunately wrecks the experience. Menorca has anchorages but I am guessing it is also crowded. Anyway great video and it brings back some of the best memories I had as a kid. Thanks for sharing.

  2. So you didn’t think you interactions with all those boats was participating in the drama? Looked to me like you were very much involved and did little to defuse the situation.

  3. When I was on a coaster in southern Italy. Because we had to drop our anchor and reverse into the quayside. When we left the quayside after loading up. we used the anchor to swing our bow out. But we dragged about ten other anchors with us. I wondered why all these boats wanted to follow us 😂

  4. Having sailed for many years in and around the Med, sadly a belligerent Frenchman isn’t unusual. I had one come alongside in Greece, walk all over our boat without asking, then ran his AC very loudly all night with the water discharging into my cockpit! I asked him politely to move away which he ignored….. somehow his lines got loose in the early hours and he drifted off! Funny how that happened!

  5. Well deserved drinks during the survivors party! Glad you guys were able to get some peace of mind after all that mess. Cheers to continued safe travels.

  6. There is an old saying in the States; "If you can't drive it, park it, and if you can't park it, sell it." What is the name of the Amel??? Seems to me and many others in the YouTube Community, I'm sure, that this owner needs to be educated. Time to give up sailing and the boat name.

  7. My partner just asked me if I'd ever want to go sailing in the Med. After watching your last few episodes, my answer is a "Hell No!" I'll go visit in the late fall, early spring and stick to land.

  8. I was smiling when your outboard started with one easy pull and you said “look at that!” Because I met you in Georgetown Bahamas and you had just bought a new Yamaha outboard (that one?) and you gifted me with your old Mercury outboard. It was giving you a lot of grief and you just wanted to get rid of it. Since I knew a lot about those Mercury motors, I knew I could get in running quickly and it would serve me well as a spare for guests. I rebuilt the carb several times, checked everything else I knew but that motor was cursed and never ran properly. I gifted it to another boater and he left contentedly smiling. A couple of days later I passed him struggling along with the cowling off and fiddling with the motor. Always did wonder if he got it working but I doubt it.

  9. Having Dan (being so famous) jump onto your boat to rescue you is like having Harrison Ford rescuing hikers because of altitude sickness in his personal helicopter. "I'm here to help you mam." "Wait, aren't you Dan of Sailing Uma? Kika has to be around too."
You 2 are such a blessing!

  10. One of planets promblem is that This Guys exists and always do what they wish. He took the place and you left your ancorage, wise decision to protect your world, but his is one and all of you the others. In any political system, socialism-communism-fasism, he sould be out of the game so where This Guys belong and why they survive? Beers and philosophy! Goodnight world!

  11. Kika is fearless, me I would have just put on scuba gear. Jump in for a little swim with an underwater drill.

  12. In all walks of life and in all nationalities there are ar$eholes unfortunately. And the first thing ar$eholes do when being called out on their ar$eholery is get obnoxious and reactive.
You made a wise decision to just leave, even though you and others were in the right. Some battles are worth the fight, this one probably wasn't.

  13. Maybe that French guy was one of those infamous pandemic 'sailors' buying a boat to get away from all the fuss on land and having not the slightest clue about seamanship.
