  1. Do not understand many are going the multi hull route. I guess if your interest is mainly Florida and the Caribbean then it may work. For myself as a solo sailor I have no interest in those are. I am not a party person and would be very uncomfortable in the Caribbean and being husseled all the time and expensive. I purchased a sailboat in North Carolina and shipped to Washington state then sailed to Alaska then south to Mexico. The best to you moving back to land.

  2. I got rid of my last boat about 2 years ago, and in my mind I can still feel how that boat feels, reacts, and sounds. Whether at anchor or underway, you focus so many of your senses on the feedback that the boat gives you, that it becomes ingrained in your memory forever. So in a way, that boat will always be with you. Trust me.

  3. Cool. Nice video. Brought back memories of the one longer sail trip I took with some new friends up in the PNW, Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. 7 days on a 50 foot ketch. Wooden double-ender. Beautiful boat. Orcas island. Lopez Island. San Juan island with Friday Harbor. The bow-wave shots got me thinking about those days heeling over in a 50-foot boat full of 10 novices and a captain. Just moving moving moving at the behest of the wind.
My darlin' and I would love to live there… for the maritime culture, and the North Cascades. Climbing and boating. What could be better? But alas… the home prices….
Interested to see what kind of catamaran you bought, and what Renatta is like at 5 years old! lol.

  4. I always enjoy your adventures. You must take care of your family first. Where ever you go and however you get there, we will be here and enjoy what ever you share. Good luck in the future and look forward to seeing your family adventures.

  5. Thanks for sharing the last sail for the season I guess…and I like when you said sailing won't be out of your lives for ever.. We'll miss you all and you glorious winged vessel…. If you hear of any 150 to 200 ish classic rigged schooner or what boat(?) sailing or repositioning from the east Atlantic to the Caribbean .. NYC..Boston or Penobscot Bay up in Maine where I live I'd love to hear any ideas too.. Moms side related to Miles Standish 2nd aunt twice removed or something Grandpa told us and my dad's dad come over from England on !Cunard liner to Ellis Island to start the Child Dynasty (so.far maybe 10 blood line with my first grandson on the way greeting the New Year in 2023…can't wait!! 😊 Your little girl 👧 used to be as small and lovely as yours with eyes so curious and a smile to turn the worse day I'm having into one of the best.. I don't get seasick though I haven't been on may days long cruises and your "watch" intrigues me. I might want to bring one along in my seasick possible aid bag.

  6. A dear friend and shipmate got sick several years ago. I had just started following Soulianis and suggested it to him. We had spent time at the Zukey Lake Tavern in Michigan and he was delighted to see that mentioned in the videos. He watched and enjoyed every episode until his death in December 2020.

  7. Watched you guys from the beginning. What a journey. Thanks for taking us along. I remember some of your earlier episodes, the first shakedown, first crossing, and life long dream achieved. Now, a new chapter. How exciting! I just got back from my second trip from Sleeping Bear sand dunes in MI, and was re-inspired by the natural beauty and wonder of Lake Michigan. It brought back my precovid dreams of sailing. Thanks for showing what is possible. I wish you all the best.

  8. what's the seasickness bracelet called? i have a cousin who gets car sick, airsick, and seasick and it might be a great solution for her if it works.
