  1. I bet you have to keep an eye on those monkeys so they don't go on your boat and steal food? They are pretty large! Another project to take care of on your boat. Travel safe….

  2. I like to watch this blog called "Boat Works". This guy teaches you every thing about fiberglass and painting. He is good. Plus he is a dealer of Total Boat products. And he showed these electric scissors and he swears by them for cutting glass matting. And they are cheap as in cost. I wish you would have said something earlier about you doing this job because I would have recommended him. He has alot of videos. This is what he does professionally. He just videos it for extra money like pushing the like button. But anyways I wish you luck on your adventures. And that was crazy, sanding inside your boat after the vacuum cleaner broke. Glass everywhere. I would've at least put a square fan facing out side with a square filter taped to it to cut down on dust on other boats. But that's just me. I loved the monkeys. They seemed very curious about what you were doing. And I liked the dock dogs. I see they had their Hussle going on. Strategically placed outside your boat just waiting! Well good luck and hope to see you on the big blue.

  3. Theoretically a boat can be repaired and refitted indefinitely and you guys have proven over the top ability to learn and execute boat repair skills. In all seriousness, when do you start a go fund me for the next boat? Applying your skills to the next step up in boats at some point is a better use of time, money and skills that continuing on your current boat.
Don't underestimate the willingness of your supporters to help out 😀

  4. A better way to handle the glass – trace out the shape you want on a piece of plastic film with a marker pen and write something on that side so you know which side the marker is on. Lay it face down on a piece of mdf (resin removes the marker if you get it wrong) Lay up the cloth on the plastic and wet out. Apply another piece of plastic and roll or squeegee out excess resin.. Cut to the marker line with an Olfa rorary cutter. Wet out where it is going. Remove the last piece of plastic you applied, pick up cloth with plastic still in place and apply. Squeeze out excess resin then peel the plastic off. apply peel ply if you are using it. This process maintains the shape and the resin content as you go. You can also do multiple layer laminates in one go being limited primarily by what the cutter can deal with. So you could put down the hirizontal weave and vertical weave in one go. If you have complex shapes and bends you can mark out the template with fold lines etc and proceed as above. Once you get the techique you will never look back

  5. I have loved you two from my first watch. And now seeing how very far you've come. An the amazing journey and adventure you've shared!! It's wonderful to see you guy's getting ports that open… Congratulations guy's.
Thanks for sharing your lives with us . Grateful for you both!! ✌🏼💗😊⛵

  6. Living aboard, and fiberglass, what fun!! Doing it myself right now! Watching your progress, I have some windows that open, but leak! Even with open windows here in Costa Rica, best option is AC in daylight hours, and turn it off at midnight jejeje

  7. Fun to see the update on your projects. Beau please use a dust mask or respirator when mixing cabosil. It's a nanoparticle and very bad for the lungs. Happy New Year B&B!

  8. Great update! So jealous I’m ready to get sailing again! Love remodel projects. The monkeys are so cool, I’d love to just watch them, can you feed them?

  9. I wonder if you could have installed the new opening ports in the old (non-leaking) windows and avoided 95% of the effort? I havce seen some portlights like that in the past.

  10. A better way to do this is place aluminum tape around the window before you pry it off, that will also protect the paint from sanding and the tape outlines the area to be sanded.

  11. Send watch and just realized that was a sledge hammer you were using with the putty knife to remove the old windows. That had to be a great upper arm workout. Take care and have a great week.

  12. Guys, sanding with the sander and a mask is good. But taking the mask off and breathing that dust is not advisable. Also, if you dont have a Vac, you might consider having an exhaust fan blowing out of the cabin. Best to you. MP

  13. are u guys having to wait for warmer to pour more concrete ? wouldn't it be better if u can get the roof done as fast as u can so u can work from inside to out first?
