13. As a Roman, Sicily is undoubtedly the No. 1 in Italy. Archipelagos, volcanoes, Greek and Roman ruins, architecturally varied art cities, Arabs, Norman castles, picturesque coastal towns, postcard hinterland with typical hilly landscapes, and fabulous food. And the sad thing is that it is only the 9th region of Italy for tourism
