Wuhii, cant wait to sail BVI’s in October
I love your adventure, I found you when you were both with SV Delos , looking forward to seeing your episode from now on ⛵️🍷🍷⛵️🌈
Always enjoy your videos. The technology is amazing. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Sorry but this ep. seems 1 long commercial for predictwind
Yay for Saba! My favorite island
Always enjoy your videos and the new boat is really beautiful. I am also from Ontario but live in the DR now and enjoying the Caribbean. I sailed out of Oakville all my life and then bought a big powerboat in Lauderdale which i took back to Lake Simcoe so i likely passed your place. Now I am back to sailing and your navigation tips and showing how well predict wind works is very valuable to me. Thanks and if you come this way let me know.
I visited Saba in April 2017 and hiked to the top of Mt. Scenery on my 60th birthday. It was always a goal for me after viewing the island from St Martin 15 years prior where my wife and I vacationed. Thanks for the video!
Our cruising plans do include all of the Caribbean, thanks to the inspiration of you two. We are prepping our boat this year and will set out from Lake Erie either the fall of 2020 or 2021. We do hope to catch up with you two somewhere out there. Love these types of videos btw….the travel videos are good too, but these are way more helpful. Thanks for sharing.
So interesting… Did the barge that the small boat was towing show up on your radar?
I really appreciated you showing how to use PredictWind to a planner's best advantage. You answered several questions that I had previously on weather/route planning. Please keep the fantastic work and hope to cross wakes with you folks some day, someway.
Very relaxing.. Love the color of the water. So blue!
Thank you so very much,
Chris from Missouri
Why isn’t your boat registered Canadian?
Great video didn't know the three lights on a tugboat meant that they were towing
Thanks for the knowledge. Three lights on the top of the towing boat means its towing. Excellent. Thanks again.
Great lay down of route planning and Saba in particular. Question: I'm assuming you are using upgraded services from Predict Wind for route planning, is that correct? I believe I currently have the "middle" account which has some features more than basic, but not all. Thanks!
Nice, thanks!
Very cool Video! Can you say what the costs for the predict wind tool are? Do I pay monthly or annually? Greetings from Michael, the sailing doctor. we meet on boot 2018 🙂
Do you guys still do new episodes of your tv show? I see on your website latest is season 10 and that is 5(?) years old at least already. Or only youtube now?
Thanks for the video. I've been to the Windward Islands on a chartered Lagoon 450F. The whole trip was a blast! 🙂
Maybe I can do a tour around that area some time in the future, but no current plans. Planning to go sail in the Greek islands next year…
Its a amazing how you take time to break down the the point of sail and how the boat perform up wind.Always want to know what Saba island looks like thanks for sharing great Quality video it looks like you spend great effort in putting this together for us.
DS III what a dream boat.
Just made it to mainland Europe on our way into the Mediterranean. Look forward to sailing in those waters in the next few years 🙂
After two and a half months cruising Sweden, Denmark and Germany we put our boat on a container ship in The Netherlands (Eemshaven) bound for Baltimore. We are very interested in crossing from the east coast to the Caribbean in the fall of next year, 2020. Any thoughts on the organized rallies that make that trip would be greatly appreciated. BTW we have your DVD collection but need to go back to watch to see if you covered one of the Caribbean rallies in your videos. Thanks, Chris.
Love your new boat 😍 Thank you for making good videos!
Great Video! Thanks for all you provide…SV Delos led me to your channel and now you have gained another sub! Keep up the great work!
I always enjoy your videos. I live vicariously through watching them.Love to know if you're still enjoying the Integralmarine generator replacement? Any problems or concerns thus far?
Can you explain why the St. Martin to St. Johns trip is upwind? @3:00 the screenshot shows 95 degrees true which is a beam reach. Maybe we need to adjust for apparent wind plus leeway so you need to point higher? I thought sailing up and down the Leeward Islands is typically on a beam reach due to the consistent easterly trade winds… Thanks!
We've booked a one week charter in the BVI next January – first time sailing in the Caribbean, so really looking forward to it!
I work with those weather models, and I would pay more attention to the predict wind models. Likely they may include Sea Surface Temperatures and are likely tuned for winds close to the surface. Generic Gribs are likely not tuned to such things and will be slightly less realistic. Also keep in mind any model beyond about 3 days is progressively unreliable.
Cheers guys, another excellent production, it sure bought back some very nice memories. Keep up the great work
Great topic to help out the Newbies, and those of us who just WISH they could spend time sailing. Thanks! I love to learn about the real nuts & bolts of learning to sail & travel by sea.
Can't wait to see y'all in the South Pacific.
Hi love your video. What are the pros and cons of having a variable draft swing keel? Thankyou
Great video and information! Thanks!
BVI are fantastic
Happy New Year 🙂 Beautiful to see Saba. Cheers from PEI Canada, Bryan
