I remember her saying at the start that Kevin told her the learning curve would be vertical … Best wishes to all for rest and recoup before Leg 3 and thanks for a very thrilling leg 2.

3. No livestream was SUCH A JOKE! These sailors rip their asses open to race as fast as they can, thousands of people check their freaking ocean race app every hour to get the news on the tracker and cannot wait for the final day. On the final day – NOTHING!! My soccer club has 30 fans and I can watch every match live on YouTube.

   That was so terrible, I have no words.

7. HOW HAS BEEN EVEN POSSIBLE TO CONSIDER NOT TO HAVE A DAMN HELICOPTER WAITING FOR AN ARRIVAL LIKE THIS ONE. I'VE BEEN IN CAPE TOWN 3 WEEKS AGO AS A TURIST. BOOKING A PENINSULA 2 HOUR HELICOPTER DRIVE COST 100 DOLLAR PER PERSON.
   HOW CAN IT BE WE DIDNT HAVE A LIVE COVERAGE FOR THE LAST 3/4 HOURS?!?!?!?
   AND WHIT THIS KIND OF AN ARRIVAL???
   CMON!

11. This is the pinnacle of our sport with worldclass teams backed by international corporations and in 2023 you don't even manage to get a livestream of the finish. You're disappointing your fans, without whom this event would be dead.

12. People are starting to realize what I’ve said all along. The coverage and reports are horrible Unless you like repeating video clips.

13. Great impressions from the podium finishers. Very deserved. But i agree with others here: please do a live stream covering the arrivals. Maybe you can do it the next leg?

    Seriously poor coverage of what could have made a very exciting and picturesque finish.

16. I agree, the lack of any attempt at live coverage of such a close finish of a well-contested leg at 3 PM on a nice sunny day, and at prime time for the major markets in Europe and the US anxiously waiting, was complete BS. "Live Finish Story" doesn't cut it.

17. Lousy coverage, lame tracker, all showing the demise of this race. The VO65 missing in most of the race tops it off. Stop this nonsense.

18. Congrats to team Holcim
    The coverage is MIA, and this is making my Spidey Senses tingle. Leg two took weeks of racing on the water, and the total coverage of the the finish has been less than ten minutes, total. The leg ended hours ago and there's no in depth recap of the leg, no interviews with the teams, nothing at all. Something is seriously wrong at race HQ. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that leg three and the rest of the race will be cancelled here in Cape Town.

20. The last few days were really topsy turvy and nail biting and no doubt luck and the wind gods played a big part in the final outcome. Like others, I was disappointed not to see the finish live. I'm sure arranging a live stream should be quite practicable for a daytime finish. Or at least increase the frequency of positional updates of the tracker to about 15 sec.

21. You have taken the pinnacle of yachting, and completely destroyed it. I’m so disappointed after years of waiting for this race and watching the whitbread as a child, meeting the great Sir Peter Blake at the gulf harbour yacht club in Auckland where they live streamed the boats from great barrier island all the way up the hauraki gulf in 1989-1990!!

    It’s 2023 and live streaming is CHEAP, what are you even running this on? There’s no title sponsor, barely any commentary, the same clips played over and over again and THE LOWEST PARTICIPATION IN THE RACES HISTORY!!

    With all the port welcoming setup, not even a committee boat coverage on crossing finishing line, just a phone can do that.

25. I guess the days of watching the Ocean Race on YouTube are over. We’re expected to sign up for yet another paying streaming service we don’t need. I’ve followed this race since the early ‘90s. Lost me.
