Beautiful water! Congratulations on your first solo trip. A big milestone, I look forward to seeing your next video 💕💕
Great video❤️⛵️⛵️⛵️
Where are u now??
Congrats , communication is key. 👍
congrats on getting out by yourself!
The raw water strainer can be relocated however it might stop working and then your engine will overheat an you will need a new engine. If it is higher than your thru hole well water flows downhill so your waterline allows water to leave the boat. This makes the job of sucking water into the engine much harder since there is air in the line.
I think there are systems that allow this and the fact that your engine does not have any cooling for a few seconds when it is started is no big deal after all your engine is cold anyhow. However definitely get some advice if you are going to relocate it in a higher position in your boat
You have good presence you should introduce your family go over the boat and tell your story Denny from Minnesota
Instead of the Sensa(spelling) bluetooth headphones get the BAofeng Uv-9r Plus($40-60US)…waterproof, pretty long range…will go more than twenty feet like bluetooth..You can buy nice headsets and these radios support a vox function. Don't know if it is legal or not, but they will talk for miles on a number of frequencies too. Comes in handy for shore parties I'm sure. 😉
The intro music is oddly similar to “Happy Togethers” music, is it the same group?
I think a vid cam would be usefull at the very top of the mast,,not only checking head room under bridges but also maybe checking out anchor places ..just an idea..
Look up how to use spring line when casting off the dock.
I LOVE the dolphins leading you south on your trip!
I see you didn’t get a clear answer on your question about the strainer. The top if strainer cannot be higher than the water line and should probably not be higher than the raw water intake on the engine
Just subscribed. From 🇵🇭
just discovered your channel and its really really great. Well done
That was way to much in that engine, especially with all the motoring you did that day.
Your boat looks like the same boat that Sailing Nahoa has. I love there channel. I've watched every single episode and was one of there first subscribers.
I had some real adventures with wrong oil levels until I figured this out. The dipstick on some Yanmars has a rubber seal that can cause different oil level readings due to the pressure differences between the crank and the dipstick tube. Any pressure differential between inside the crankcase and outside will push oil up and down the tube, sort of like a barometer.
If your engine has the same kind of dipstick, it may need a minute or two with the oil cap off to equalize pressure differences. Pull dipstick slightly out and wait a bit for the oil to come to the same level as the crankcase.
This isn't solo.
