  1. God bless Alex but what exactly did he do to actually HELP people he encountered around the world? Other than partying in different islands, playing with Island children for the 🎥, what else did he do for others? Not saying there is anything wrong with doing what he did but let’s be honest, this was not for the greater good of others, it was for HIM, to prove whatever, to himself.

  2. I do not know why I watched this again, when I knew how it ended. However, the rest of this video is just so awesome. He lived his life fully in such a short time.

  3. Great documentary! Number one thing to take away from this: make sure you are prepped before you do anything that could be dangerous. In this case he should have gotten vaccinated for typhoid (or gotten the booster if he already had it). Doing your research and taking precautionary steps can stave off most incidents like this, at the very least it puts you in a better spot in case something bad were to happen.

  4. The Rust family were always adventures. May Alex Rest In Peace. He is a distant cousin. I wish I could have met him in person while he was still on this side of the veil. I will meet him on the flip side. God bless you Captain Alex Rust.

  5. Is it me, or is Vanessa just gorgeous. I'm not talking about her beauty and obvious physical symmetry, I mean her vibrancy and charm. The man was lucky to have her add sunshine to his day. Something you just have to count your blessings.

  6. I was down with the story until I learned that he came from a wealthy family, his father being some kind of farming mogul. I'm sorry, but wealthy children simply have access to a different lifestyle than the rest of us. I'm not saying that his family gave him money; I don't know if they did or not. I'm also not saying he wasn't a good guy. What I am saying is that it is highly likely that his swashbuckling lifestyle was assisted by the fact that he knew in the back of his mind that if he really got into trouble, he could simply go home and the family would bail him out.

  7. Definitely one of the realest and best documentaries ive ever watched!! This guy is awesome!! His happiness in life is was amazing!! Man rip bud!! Sure this man is sailing the clouds of heaven!!

  8. My God, I'm lost for words. But I will try

Alex found humanity for so many people. He changed the lives of countless people. He inspired and still inspires thousands, if not millions. His death was a loss to our world, but for goodness sake, he packed more selfless giving into his few years than most in a lifetime. But the one thing that he had which is incredibly rare is that he did all this following his dream and he led people to share his dream.

Unbelievable person and incredibly well produced. Magnificent in the most extreme. I'm relating to the story in an extremely close way. Not necessarily with sailing, but with life. You have me in tears…

I've seen thousands of documentaries and can totally say honestly say that nothing has come close to this. Well done to all concerned. You have made a masterpiece.
