What temperature do you have the over heat alarm set for? Its a pretty great idea. I DO have an overheat alarm on my Pearson 27, but its simply a alarm on the panel and no real indication.
You are certainly well prepared, Hope you have a great trip.
Great video I used to have some governmental clients in the Keys and Monroe County. We used to say ; there is the dream of the keys and there is the reality. I know as a general aviation pilot, I hate Key West. The weather is rather unpredictable year round. I also think in your case you have to deal with The Coast Guard and The Key West Naval Air Station as well as some ecological sensitive areas. For any pilots out there, this is an IFR flight plan only in my opinion. Good Luck!
I love the channel..shows normal guy like me doing something…I'm in Texas and was going to buy land in Florida always wanted to live there.. the industry of Houston not sure can find in Florida can I? I'm a industrial diesel mechanic and fabricator of metal. Not sure if work . Maybe can tell me I'm wrong. Want to buy a Acker of land and 40 by 60 steel building.. can I do that for 150k like in Texas??? Got a junk 38 foot sailboat to restore aswell. Safe travels!! Looking forward to the next video…
Yeah Sigsbee Park is a Navy annex, you can take me and I’ll get you in lol, safe travels and following sea.
Butterflies time just remember Sam Holmes sails single handed across the Atlantic in a 28 footer
John Kretschmer recommends running the jack line down mid-ship. Keep tether short. If you lose balance, you don't go over the sides. I've heard getting back on-board is nearly impossible.
My wife and I are very appreciative of the honesty and partnership you show in your videos. It gives us the belief that we can do it as well. We love that you show all the prep that goes in to a trip. ! Love you both!
I'm rooting for you guys, get out there, your adventure awaits! ⛵

Love the latest video! Some of the things you do reminds me of the crazy stuff we used to get into in your father's garage. I cannot believe he didn't smack our heads together for some of the dumb things we did with his tools. I can't wait to see your video from the trip. BTW, love the studder edits. Some things never change with you! lol.
I'm sitting in Key West right now after sailing my catalina 25 down from Ft. Lauderdale! Would love to say hi if the timing matches up. Could also potentially swap onto my mooring ball in Garrison bight, apparently it's rare for spots to come up and I got really lucky yesterday getting a ball.
I was scared my first couple times out at night. Once I got used it I love night sailing. If there is no moonlight it gets sketchy but in a full moon it is glorious! Trust yourself, trust you navigation and trust your boat.
Cant wait for this series. Thanks for making this.
Exciting. Cant wait to see the next episode.
Good luck on your trip. Fair winds.
Really enjoy watching your adventures and having you narrate what your thinking in real time.
I see Venus & Jupiter. LED flood lights on the bow might help you out.
