  1. I am surprise THIS GUY still talking about stock.
And I don't understand why CNBC is still using THIS GUY!!

  2. fire ET yellen…. she is crazy totally….what is she doing? so crazy and stupid.she is a disaster of America. Go to University and study economic again.

  3. The market did not expect that the Fed would say no rate cuts for the rest of the year. They said it several times. That is why the market sold off at the end of the day. None of these idiots saw that coming.

  4. Yellen and Powell do not qualify to have their jobs. How dumb. Already at current rate few banks failed, so they increased rates even more, what is that moron hoping for rainbows.

  5. Higher on what?

    A new, mega safety net?

How come we did just fine with $250k worth of deposit insurance (itself much too large relative to consumer’s strained balances) for years…

…and yet, since SVB, it’ll be a crisis if we don’t insure everybody for any amount?

    Rates HAVE to rise.

They needed to rise YEARS ago.

EVERYONE knew they WOULD rise sooner or later.

If depositors or banks need mega insurance, then mega PAY for it.

    Yourselves.

  6. I thought Yellen would be much more responsible than that. After all she was the head of the FED. I also think Powell made a mistake by raising rates at this time. The FED should have taken a wait and see stance. They could always have raised rates a half a point in 3 or 6 months when the banking fears settled a bit and maybe inflation would cool without a rate hike..
