History, wildlife, sailing, boat jobs. Another fantastic video. Keep safe. Where are you planning to go for the hurricane season?
On the anchoring topic ….. the swing radius for 30 to 50 footer would imagine not a significant difference …. but then Q sure would not be able to anchor where you are that close in to shore. Wonder how long it's anchor chain is ….. fun to tick of tasks completed and see the done list surpass the to do list in length …. saw a vertical wind turbine and caused me to google interesting to say the least … thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, ust dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans …..
Not sure if my expectations are off, but I wouldn’t class those internet speeds as good for a Starlink dish … I would have hoped they would see at least 100Mbps down and 20Mbps up. I assume it might be issues with dish alignment being fixed to a moving boat??
Thank you for the wholesome and entertaining content. You two have become my favorite live-aboard sailboat channel. Also, magnets on oil drain plugs are such a brilliant and simple solution. I've had a dirt bike and a truck both with one.
Watching this video, it is like this particular boat was made for you two……..with the amount of time you have been sailing it is like it responds to the touch you both have.
Some cars have magnets on the end of the oil drain plug also. Been doing that for decades I think. Definitely helps keep any tiny shards of iron from causing more problems if they were allowed to circulate in the oil.
Prisoner in that cell.
I remember reading a "Ripley's Believe it or Don't" comic book back in the 1960s about that volcano and "lone" survivor. He was portrayed as a white guy in that rag.
Interesting… guess I don't believe Ripley…
Does anybody else hear Becka saying Taylee when saying the name of the boat?
Marvelous! Can't wait for your next episode. Thank you both for sharing!
When you mount something on your deck, you must have some sealant between the deck and the thing mounted, not only on the screws.. tec7 or something..
And when you mount new plugs in the deck you should use epoxy on both the hole and the plugs
Hi guys, great videos. Just a tip but if you pump out the oil from the filler on top it is much cleaner and you dont need to ruin a good pot. Then clean the magnetic plug while.most.of the oil is already out. F
Thank you guys for taking the time to make this vlog I really appreciate it and I loved it ,out of all the sailing channels that I watch I wait for your weekly one the most ….sending you both a big hug x
The fitting you removed from the transom was for an Ensign Staff – remember all that grief you got when you first started about how and where you were flying your ensign… that could have been your solution… 😂Live and learn. Keep doing it!
Great channel. I go back to episode 61. My brother was an artist and so were his wives, children and friends. However, I never saw anything done by the lot of them (l'art pour l'art) that appealed more to me than Becka's work simply scrolling through her books of text, ideas and art. And then you go sailing…..bloody doing it. Love it. What did Zack do in his pre-sailing life.
Magnets have been in car sump plugs and gearbox drain plugs for years probably 50+ years, a little tip take out your filler plug before you drain the gearbox it allows the oil to escape easier.
Hi guys, be careful putting your router packed between the books it may overheat or get long-term heat damage.
Best adventure sailing show on YouTube.
3:15 "HAVØRN" is a Danish noun made of 2 Danish nouns: "HAV" means sea, and "ØRN" means eagle.
Ah well, you guys have obviously never owned an early Mini. The engine and gearbox shared the same oil and when you changed the oil the drain plug had a longish magnet and used to come out looking like a Christmas tree with chewed up pieces of gear tree and ‘iron filings’ of generally worn mechanicals!
Fascinating to watch how well you two work as a team. Did you ever get your cooktop?
Wooooo Hoooo
I really enjoyed stumbling across your channel & videos.
As you're approaching 50k subs maybe it's time to upgrade to some 4k HDR equipment. Given the rise in sales of huge OLED/QLED smart TV's they are all smart, cable fed 250-300mbps like mine. So many creators are doing this and I've seen their subs rise. (food for thought). 🎥⛵
