"We decided to film me because there would be a lot less to censor if the camera were to slip" Don't sell yourself that short Brett!
Ayanna is the most most beautiful person I've ever witnessed. My lord she's beautiful.
It's my understanding that not all roller furling foresail rigs are able to reef so perhaps the proper nomenclature is that if you are reducing sail you are reefing but if you are stowing sails completely then they are furled. Many people say take in one or two reefs but nobody says furl it 60% when speaking to the person operating the headsail furler.
I can say you all must get a hammock to sleep in on Eva. When I used to sail with my father, we custom made hammocks over the beds in each cabin for when the seas got rough climb into the hammocks and sleep like a baby. Boat can rock side to side, and you stay perfectly still. Loving these videos! makes me what to sell everything I own just to buy a sailboat.
yo what is that pancake recipe 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I put my pillow in the dryer (no heat) with a couple of sneakers to pound out the lumps.
Aiyana your cooking rocks! Can I suggest a delicious treat/meal? Sautéed pineapples, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and blackberries over pancakes, with real dream-whip. YUMMY 😋. Y’all will love this I promise!❤
🙂
I've been meaning to ask. Who has the most and the biggest bruises?
If you got memory foam pillows in there lumpy put them in the dryer for about 20 minutes
Haha! Great Cover !
Enjoy guys, if you get to lagos on the Algarve, look us up. It’s a great place to stop on the way if yer going to the Med👍👍
We call them Jesus birds because they walk on water
Love the channel and your vibe – a beautiful boat! So I grew up on sail boats – I have a very unsual and specific question for you – do you every change (increase) spreader tension going downwind to curve the mast more for boat speed? I am not sure if you need a specific flexing mast for this – it's something my father told me they used to do in races (6 and 12 metres yachts) – but I have never heard of any sailors doing it all post my teen years (which were a very long time ago! I wonder if the practice fell into disuse – or was only used by die hard racers on some special boats?
Many thanks Matt
Was waiting for Brett to say ' Jade, can I fluff your pillows' 😂
We met you at the dinghy dock in St. Georges, sailing today for the Azores. It was really nice meeting Dingo, Penny and you both.
It is truly astounding to me that I can see high quality video from the middle of the Atlantic – and such a pleasure to see you enjoying your ocean crossing with good food thrown in! I am old enough to remember seeing the first transatlantic TV transmissions in 1962 via the Telstar communications satellite. That ushered in the era of satellite TV. It was in low earth orbit (like Starlink) but was only in sight of both sides of the Atlantic for about 18 minutes at a time. Of course, Starlink has hundreds of satellites so coverage is nearly continuous. Telstar needed massive earth station antennas – the one in Andover, Maine weighed 340 tons! Telstar was used for short program segments, especially for news. It was in use in time to relay the tragic assassination of John Kennedy in 1963. How times have changed now – I am glad to have lived to see it!
That cover makes it look like Brett has won the “greatest life in the world lottery!” 😂
This has been a great series! I'm amazed at how seldom they have to tack. Looked like a nice relaxing day.
What about the mainsail tear and repair? It was on the live track but didn't make the video? Love following along living vicariously and hoping to liveaboard in a few years
I just put on 10lb watching Brett inhale his dessert.
Your 'Day In The Life' shorts are all quite groovy and entertaining in a very cute way. I'm a little jealous of all the far out food you are eating. You would think sailing for days on end that you would be roughing it somewhat, but not you lot. You are rocking it. You remind me of a bunch of kids playing in a home made tent that you set up in your parents living room, except you in the ocean, and being splashed with salt water. Stay safe and stay groovy. PS You should trying going old school with your pillows and getting Goose Down Pillows, so soft and fluffy.
Like being there… almost. Looks like you are having the best possible conditions for this crossing. Thanks for sharing.
Truly appreciate your daily video posts bringing us along on your crossing.
Your exhaustion is starting to show in the little things: not remembering shifting from salon to cabin, looking for your PFD that you are wearing. Please be extra diligent with your great safety procedures. And, the little birds in your wake, hard to see on video, were likely one of a few species of storm petrel. Three of you (5!) are a model crew.
Thank you for making the effort to capture, edit, and post!
buy pillows that you can take the stuffing out.
Great guys ❤❤❤
Those dogs are just the sweetest! Looks like you could use some red lights aboard for night visibilty. Unless you just keeping the white lights burning for filming.
I use feather pillows. No lumps.
Haha i cant even distinguish if its moon reflection r the bright of the sun, but it looks beautiful, thats amazing, only in your videos 22:15
What App are you using on your MAC.. That looks Great..
