Hi guys ….just a thought … I was clearing similar land and had the same issue with my weed eater / scrub bar power tool…
I put a skill saw blade on it and it worked great…
Your doing an awesome job..
Rent a goat herd. They’ll clear areas easily.
Matt… Get a HEDGE trimmer attachment to a 2 cycle Husqvarna weedwacker.. ( Trimmer Plus Universal 22 in. Articulating Hedge Trimmer String Trimmer Attachment) This is the exact one I use. I just was volunteering at a lake in the community and cleared about 200 feet of sticker bushes and other growth within a few hours… It was unbelievable how much was cleared, also gets down real low. Vines can be trimmed off the trees like butter too! BTW, That property seems awesome! Have fun and love watching the two of you…..
you need a pressure switch
Matt , put a T in the pipe between pump and outlet, go up about a foot with a threaded end to put water in .
A hedge trimmer works great on vines like that. Good compromise between precision exploring and getting work done. Makes the final cleanup with the hand tools easier too because the long stuff is more manageable. Also works good with 2 people. Use the rake to tension some undergrowth and the hedge trimmer to slice away the bunch.
I liked this episode because it was just the same thing you did on the boat. I do believe that when you’re making your garden, and you have fruit trees, you need to plant your garden near your orchard. But with that garden, y’all are going to eat well. Good luck
Hello Kristen and Frank farmer. Check out how a ram pump works. And think about hydropower from that creek.
do yourself a massive favor: add in a cheese cloth or equivalent fine mesh screen. Bugs, larvae, debris, etc. We keep a few of these on our property and the mesh was a huge assist.
A pressure tank and pressure switch would work better IMO.
With all the greenery you’re cutting down maybe you can start a compost pile and once you get more animals add the manure. Hopefully it would set you up for the future.
Also, Ruth stout method or no till garden method may work for you With that much overgrown acreage permaculture would be perfect for you.
Why not rent a herd of goats to eat all that stuff you are struggling to clear?
Where is your boat kitty?
You two make me laugh! And laughter at eighty years old is a good thing. Why you decided to leave paradise and return to the Earth to do all the things that most people want to escape from is beyond me. 😂❤
You need a minimum of 3 hens per roo but more would be better. Juicy will wear out Roxie so, for her sake it would be better if she could share the love with a flock. Plus, chickens are very social and Roxie needs lots of sister hens to be happy. Keep your new hens locked up for at least a week or 2 before trying to let them free range. They have to learn that their coop is home. Roxie will be fine with less food and water until her babies hatch. But it's so sweet that yall bring worms to her nest and I'm sure she really appreciates them. Chickens are so much fun and yall are doing great!
YOU COULD USE THAT CREEK / RIVER TO SET UP A HYDRO ELECTRIC SYSTEM AND GET ELECTRICITY !!!
YOU NEED A SHRINK!!!!
Still trying to deal with this Farmer Matt crap…..But still love you guys
Tractor Tractor Tractor Tractor Tractor Tractor!!!!! You need a Tractor!!! BEFORE you kill yourselves!!!! and best one with a backhoe attachment Also a STHIL weedeater big enough to handle the 10" saw blade. Goes through even a 3" hardwood tree trunk or branch like butter and makes mulch out of the foliage of an entire huge tree in a few hours
In this video, I learned farmers say "When the rain is over yonder…"
What about Bear????
Water catchment. Roof-Pipe-Cistern-filter-pump-pressure tank-use
Looking good. Hope you have a big sharpening stone for your brush Wacker ??
Chickens have to grow up together or they will kill or chase them off. Simple
Hope you saved the coca plants or are planting some ! Why not ?
