  1. Amazing, thank you for coming to visit BC. Porteau Cove is pristine, there used to be some dive sites there to explore. Very cool trip so far, BC is beautiful.

  2. Wow, hardly got in a minute and lots to comment on. Welcome to BC. Yes Vancouver is a pretty place but I wouldn't want to live there 🙂 I have in the past both lived and worked in various parts of "the lower mainland" (Vancouver and surrounding cities) and dislike returning for whatever reason. Still visiting (anywhere) by boat is special… Vancouver perhaps more so, though we thing the Comox Valley is pretty special since we moved here.

That is not just a "seaplane" but a De Havilland Beaver. That one has the original engine but many have been converted to turbine (turbo-prop). That one may have been made in Ontario, (I'm not really sure their website says they are now in Calgary) But like the DC3, there is really nothing like them, they will build a whole new plane around the serial number plate if wrecked cause they are no longer available. The twin Otter is still produced under license not many miles from your sail loft. (as are parts for the Beaver) They are quite popular in BC and northern Canada and Alaska.

  3. I have seen a few of your videos with Delos, and I first discovered you guys. Now this is the first standalone video. I consider it the best also re Rogers Drum Beat, I have an ex BOC single-handed boat 15-meter mast head cutter. Vintage 1987-88. I have rebuilt, this boat 4 times in 35 years I love it so much as a sea boat. Though his boat is bigger they have the same deck roof line look.
Of note, I changed all the rigging to Dyneema saving 230 kilos of rigging weight for 30 kilos of Dyneema rigging. In your tour of Rogers mast setup, I am very impressed with what looks like a backstay turn screw used for the halyard? This video has solved possibly a problem for me as I have a flying staysail, my halyard goes back to the cockpit, and can't get the torque rope bar tight.
If possible, I wonder if Roger could share how the halyard setup works as the length of the halyard and the connecting eye of the halyard to the turnbuckle are a puzzle as to the shorter halyard length means the tail would be up the mast somewhere? Great show a Canadian living in Australia I enjoyed your visit to BC and your breakfast. Keep up the good work. SV Skoiern IV

  4. I remember the "Drummer" and that race.. lol. This Passion is NOT NEW… The new sail combo looks great. At first I was Not an " Orange Guy" but with the final accents of color looks Great. As said " You won't Miss Us Offshore" or AT NIGHT! I designed a Spinaker with Heather Hild when she was on City Island. Very Talented Lady…I think they Sold to Doyle? If I remember correctly…Doyle is incredible too. " J-1" seems like the RIGHT GUY for Calico. Nice workmanship. 22° up here…yikes…TV GameShow time…" C'mon Down".. Shrimp Season is Here…

  5. Great video you Grace and Bill. Great you made it to Vancouver and how cool is that you made it to Precision Sails. I know you'll have (Actually had) a great time with Daryll the crazy Canuck as I call him.
Yes your new main is going to look fantastic. I can't wait to see it on Calico Skies.
    Looking forward to next video

  6. Absolutely Stunning! Loved everything about this video, the city, the Air BNB, The BREAKFAST!!! with the bees no less! The Sea Plane, Wow!!! What an adventure! Enjoy and can't wait to see the next one!

  7. Awesomeness. I wish we knew you where here . We certainly would have taken you guys out for a fun adventure or 2 in the north vancouver island/discovery and octopus islands area .
    Perhaps another time .
    🍻🇨🇦⛵️

  8. OMG!! That is totally the wrong way to make a cream tea!! Any educated person knows that it’s jam first! Wars have been fought defending the ‘Cornish’ way.
    Nice boat btw.

  9. The Pacific NW is gorgeous! So glad you had this time there. Your new sail is going to be amazing! And yes please do a follow up video of Rodgers boat when he’s finished.
