Thank you for being honest about your seasick situation. Whilst it is uncomfortable, as a fellow seasick boat owner, I feel useless too when I am ill. And it validates my anxiety about going out in tricky sailing conditions. All the best.
You guys are fearless and awesome!
Another great episode. Thank you for sharing. Keep it up!
I hope you stop off in Oban. It is a great wee town with a superb Scotch.
I'm guessing you found the decision to raise the bimini to be the wise one.
Enjoy sailing video! Mike from Missouri
I’m two minutes into this episode…. Got to stop and say that what you have is often far superior to what you dream of! What a great metaphor for life…. Millie isn’t a dreamy Spirit, but she is so much more than that! On with the episode then…. Back now from another great episode…. So what are the domestic arrangements regarding Marmite and Vegemite?
We not only redo the original stitching we also like to stitch around the patch. That works well for us. Also in a pinch we use waxed dental floss for thread. The wax goes easily though the existing holes.
You guys are too cute 🤗💞
Shame about the new boat delivery ,ummm not good sounds like too many hassles , great vid
Sweet sailing guys! You’re slooping it though. Guess it’s time to get that staysail on a furler!
As usual, very entertaining. Love your films.
LOL! Venison is what they call the meat OF Deer, I’m fairly sure. It doesn’t have anything to do with the sex or the age of the Deer, so you’re right in that it’s not called “venison” until it’s dead. Or until it’s meat …. I’ve never thought of it that way, but I grew up eating it and I much prefer it to Beef. Also prefer Rabbit over Chicken, especially in the last four years with this administration putting all kinds of chemicals, meds etc. in it & acting as if they’re some kind of “healthy” additive’s ….. I never thought about it, but Jerky would be a great thing to have for protein on long passages, without having to cook anything or exert any labor, well besides “chewing”! 🍀
I dont know how you can leave your baby for that long. I feel for you I am in newcastle australia its just warming up here I hate the cold lived in PNG for six years 20c was jumper time and diving was no wetsuit 21+ I have been back 20 years and still hate the cold dont know how you do it.
Pig* = alive. Pork = meat/dead
Deer** = alive. Venison = meat/dead
* or boar, sow, hog, piglet, Babe
** or stag, hind, doe, fawn, Bambi
Your Tanyana is a really nice looking boat the opening footage from dock was great and of course all the sailing over the years
My kids call these seals "banana seals"
Your day sailing in winter looks a lot like our days sailing in Scottish waters this past summer. I don't think that anyone pays the heating bill there as it seems to be cold and wet most of the time. It is still beautiful though and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Scotland. 🙂
Long range forecast: Lots of snow and ice coming to Britain. Blizzards? White Xmas for sure. Some friends have gone to France for Xmas holidays. Cheers and lots of drams to keep warm.
For some reason I'm not seeing the Spirit delivery episode. Really hope it'll appear soon – very beautiful-looking things.
welcome back to Scotland 🙂 Any chance you guys are going to sail the caledonian canal?
Really funny hearing your background music (ie 6:09) that I associate with another utube (Matts Off Road Recovery).
You spread your Vegemite rather thin.
And what a lovely sail.
Groovy episode
Deer – Venison
Pig – Pork, Bacon Ham just all the good stuff…
and Welcome to the UK!
Great video and welcome to Scotland 🏴❤️🏴❤️
Great video well I have to head out and feed the T-bones👍👍
It's always fun to follow you. many beautiful scenery, well-made videos but above all to meet such happy and positive faces where nothing seems to be stuck. OK reality can sometimes be different, we all know. We wish you a pleasant journey. The archipelago in southern Norway and the Swedish west coast is very similar to Scotland.
Am I the only one that can't find episode 214?
I remember seeing it in my feed but when I went to see it later it was gone.
It is fun to see you so happy. I'm not really jealous because you also look very cold. Nice video again. Thanks
What happened to episode 214? It's gone
Please tell me you guys are heading into the Med. I'd love to welcome you at our Marina, close by Barcelona, and break out the BBQ for a proper Aussie welcome!
It always amazing me how you guys can make a 20 minute video seem like 5 minutes! With no drama and no acting, just nice filming & editing and you two being so genuine!! So cool to see you in Scotland!!
It's great to see how much Millie means "home" to you two. A boat is just as much "home" for you as a house is for me.
I can’t find episode 214 or 213 in your videos? Did you remove them?
Where is episode 214?
7:28 – 8:23 Why is the text on the books and Adam's bib backwards but the clock is right way around? What the heck kinda wormhole tardis thing is Millie?
Beautiful sail. West coast has some of the most exciting and beautiful sailing anywhere. Stunning. Make sure you do some inner Hebridean island hopping too. Don’t just stay in Oban then leave like Uma did.
I missed something where is episode 214, it's not posted
not sure where you are heading and I assume you are a little ahead but sailing cadoha, bushpoint, and drake paragon are posting from the west coast of the Uk and Ireland to give idea or ask questions
Hi, how do you heat your boat?
You had a good break with the weather. Off season for sure but meteorological winter starts December 1st and winter on the solstice.
👍
What a great sailing day! This reminds me of a passage completed in June, cruising aboard SV Pellew, a replica of the biggest pilot cutter built by Luke Powell. I was priveliged to be given the helm for the passage down from the Shiant Islands to the very same anchorage on Rona. That was an exciting narrow entrance to make in the 80 ton cutter with neglible wind, and Luke refuses to use the motor for manouvering. Next challenge was to put her alongside in Mallaig in similar conditions but with a CalMac ferry hard on my stern.
Great to see your latest update. Where next? Cannot wait.
😎
