Going down the YouTube route is dealing with the devil. Better less money & more fun.
We want to see the journey, not the rush trips to places that may or may not interest us. We waited how many years for your second boat…? Don’t ya get it, we want what you have, you don’t need to rush us the episodes and give us something different. Chill out and don’t waste fuel rushing to get somewhere, it will come eventually 😊 Don’t miss the adventure because of the end goal, life is about the journey/trip not where you end up!
Just be honest. We follow you because you are able to live a life that we can't, for a million and one reasons. Just BE, on a lovely boat, with interesting people and in great locations. How is that not entertaining? And no need for the quasi-click-bate titles like "No More Sailing for Youtube". Just sail and enjoy. Otherwise, we could pay for a topless Manatee dentistry episode in the Florida Keys, if that suits you better. 😉
Your doing great work for us.Thank you.
Just sail for you and take us along for the ride.
Are you putting the Mantus hook on with the hook pointing toward the anchor? In this video and a previous video it appeared the hook was pointing at the boat. Also the replacement rubber straps from Mantus come with a sleeve made out of a canvas or cordura material that helps protect the strap. I broke the rubber strap the first or second time I dropped anchor with our Lagoon 450 because I put the hook on backwards. After buying 6 spares we did not break another one in two years.
Kia Ora , you two are amazing Teachers of we the Non Ocean Sailing side of the Moana. I cry at times at what the mental challenges you expose . So Kudos to you both. May you have a Fantastic Xmas and new year.
You two are just entertaining yourselves, watching one of you getting down about something and the other pulling them out. You have huge content just your lives from day to day.
That's sailing or life not often having a pleasant wind or if you don't change direction. Just found your channel and your content is fantastic, being yourselves is all it takes.
Easier said than done I'm sure, but honestly, people love watching the everyday mundane things too. We'd happily watch you make an omelet for lunch then enjoy a cocktail after dinner while sat on the netting recounting a story or two about WHATEVER. It doesn't have to be grand, it just has to be authentic. And, you're both good at that already. Plus, you both have a nice eye…it's all good!
Definition of trial and error is Sailing!
there's always Catford
If you guys weren’t bent on making a living through YouTube, would you be living on a boat at all? You have seemed miserable since you sold the last boat and going through the motions. It shows in your videos. I know you have this new great cat and all, but I feel guilty just watching you in misery for our entertainment…and your dollar.
Hakuna Matata 😉☀️♥️
We want to see you having fun on a boat that will take you anywhere, go have fun.
I’ve had two of those Mantus chain hooks dry rot and then break.
You said….they can go wherever they want because of whatever they do for a living and we can't….wtf? Am I missing something. You can go anywhere and 98% of people watching have not seen what your seeing. So just sail for yourself and just bring us along, not sail for a thumbnail or content. The content will come. We love yall already and are here for you. You don't have to win us over.
Damn good looking sail. just listen to Nick and everything will be fine.
You guys are so much fun. I watch bc of you both not a different anchor or different palms. Please slow and have fun.
You need to take care of yourselves first! It's your life, your channel & your boat, we just have the privilege to tag along with you! All the Best!
It's all good…. and there's no need to fret over not making yourself ill sailing as I'm sure you'll have many opportunities to suffer in the future when you can'r escape some shitty conditions LOL
I don't often comment on videos, but Nick did invite comments.
Just go where the wind takes you and we will follow.
Dump the chain hook and get a soft shackle. You will never turn back.
Some of the very best of times happen spontaneously with very little planning! You guys always make it fun to watch! 🙂
I'm not presuming to suggest you need my help anchoring, but I would like to mention something that I find immensely useful whenever I am anchoring… which I often do solo, and often remain anchored for several days.
Use the GPS to mark the
very spotwhere the anchor deployed. The "Man Overboard" button on a GPS chart plotter is a fast and easy temporary waypoint, or there are some very good cell phone anchor alarm apps that offer additional convenance, such as remote monitoring (like beside the pillow at night), and bread-crumb trail of vessel movement at anchor. Lets you see immediately when the anchors sets, and gives constant feedback the hook is holding fast.Cheers 🙂
