How to keep the bow up on a sail boat during downwind with high waves
It’s not spectacular! I have been on such a sail and it’s part of the unpleasant part of sailing! There is nothing cool about being in the middle of the ocean when it turns nasty and your on your own in the middle of nowhere! It’s frightening and not fun. So don’t try and make it cool.

Try the Southern Ocean off Australia. I have been in a swell so big that the sails lost all drive when you were in a trough. This was in a 45 ft yacht.

We've had exactly the same waves at that location with 35knts of wind from behind. It was impressive (and fast)!
