  1. What a fabulous episode guys ‼️ ‼️ ‼️ 🎉 Totally loved the "just the 2 of us"attitude. Agree, niiiiiice having crew (perhaps even mandatory for most of us) on long passages. Just more safety, yet, 2 can develop a much easier and more harmonious routines. On a more personal note, watching Desiree act and interact with ozo, she is going to make a great mom. 😊 👍 ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝 👙 🌞 ✨ 💕

  2. OMG! I can't believe how amazing your hair is. Could that be because of prenatal vitamins? You look amazing. You always look pretty, but you are especially looking pretty right now.

  3. Another beautiful video, liked seeing the Navy P-3 buzzing by you in the end. Their stationed on the island of Tercera in the Azores, I lived there for two years. Your visit to the Azores was as beautiful as I remember it, thanks for the trip back down memory lane. Continued success on you trip!

  4. The aircraft was a Navy P-3 Orion, likely out of Rota, Spain, which flies hours and hours low over the ocean looking for subs and YouTube vloggers. I expected them to hail you on the VHF and warn you of the H U G E pod of Killer whales trailing Atticus at a speed just faster than your boat speed!

Both Jordan and Desiree have great voices and narration skills. So, now I want to hear Oso narrate a few! And, instead name Desordan after your dog. Just spell it backwards to avoid confusion. After all, the two will be at the same level for a long time and undoubtedly become "best buds".

  5. You guys got your ocean sailing sea legs. You also eat gourmet meals all the time. Oso can pull on that tug for long periods of time. I'm looking forward to Gibraltar and the Med. crossing.

  6. Will baby have full US citizenship if born abroad?

I think he/she will, but not sure.

Personally, I think your best option would be to put Atticus up and fly home for the birth as having family around is very helpful.

  7. There is one thing you can do to deal with the risk of running into a floating container. That is have a proper blue water boat under you that can shrug off such a collision.

To me, such a boat has a beefy hull and an encapsulated long keel with a nice taper to the lead edge.

Think a Cape Dory or Island packet. I'll give up that extra knot or ability to point very high.

The PS40 does have a longish keel and a pretty good slope to the lead edge, so you should be fine.

One other thing, that section of hull which could experience an impact should be a water tight compartment. Check out some of Atomvoyager's work. He glasses in this area.

  8. The plane is a P-3 Orion, maratime patrol aircraft – they patrol hunting for submarines in the atlantic but also keep an eye on surface ships, mainly looking for military vessels, also log the position of civilian ships (so they were probably getting a good look at you and logging your position). Their secondary role is supporting Search and Rescue, there's a reasonable chance it was a Portugese aircraft from Beja in Portugal (but hard to see any markings on it).

  9. Sorry if you already answered this but are there any US or Maltese citizenship issues with having your baby in Malta?

  10. Then plane that was flying over you low, is a P3 Orion and they were most likely rigging your boat (taking pictures). I know this because I was a Flight Engineer on them for 11 years in the US Navy. It was most likely from Spain. Have a Great Passage.

  11. Hi Jordan & Desiree, I just met you yesterday as you walked through Birgu (Malta). Message me if you'd like to come over to meet a British couple who sailed pregnant to Malta 10 years ago. They're still here and their baby son is now a cub-scout!

  12. Yes that airplane was a P-3 Orion sub Hunter. I worked on them for 10 years. I miss going to the Azores on dets. Oh the good old days of being in the USNavy. Love watching your videos. Fair winds and following seas.

  13. The aircraft that was making low level passes is a Lockheed P-3 Orion. It is a long-range submarine hunter. The long, thin piece that sticks out behind the tail is an antenna. I could not see the markings, so it could be from the US or a NATO country. You may not have been the only folks in that part of the ocean. There might have been a Russian submarine close by. Or, the air crew may have been just practicing. Is Atticus equipped with sonar, you may consider that upgrade in the near future-along with some depth charges! Love your videos.
