1. You have done an enormous and phenomenal quality work on the hull. I expect that once turned, the work will be way more various and fun for you. Cabinetry, machinery, electrical…way more interesting tasks, I’m sure you are tired of miles of layup. We are waiting for every video, it’s absolutely spectacular what you are doing – thousands of years of boatbuilding plus modern technology and materials, and you will need to go through all of that.

I understand the struggle in trying to keep everyone entertained by the larger projects However I don't know if others are like me, in the fact that I watch the videos so that I can get a taste of what it's like and the being able to be there through video puts a whole different perspective on the project.. in a person's mind you can make quick work of building the frames and leveling them but in reality it's several long days and weeks of work before you even start actually building the boat

You two have done an amazing job not many folks bite off the challenge like this a couple of ideas have you thought about putting a stainless steel nose onto the bow of your boat to protect it from debris in the water that you cannot see and will hit also, this is a little late now But when I was there was a well-known boat builder a couple of buildings over from me he built one off custom boats for cruising and racing, so smaller than yours, some larger than yours when he got started years and years ago, he built them from aluminum then he built them out of fiberglass, and then he built both from carbon fiber he would start out like you did with the ribs of the boat. Then he would use Balsawood for the form of the hall and either glass over it with fiberglass or cover carbon fiber. When he was using the carbon fiber, he had an epoxy he used that would go off with UV light, I built him a intricate light bars fixture that was on casters and it enabled him to get the Hall just the way he wanted it with the layers of carbon fiber and then pass the light bar over it and the epoxy would go off. This gave him more time to work out the intricate details, but still be able to get it to go off without harder like is used in fiberglass when he flipped the boat over he would strip out the Balsawood, the boat, even lighter, and with the carbon fiber, it was a very rigid and well structured Hull he always told me that 1/3 of the time when is the building the hall and 2/3 of the time what into the interior but his interiors were very simple on most of us boats because they’re built to race, and they wanted to keep the weight down. Awesome job you guys are doing though, I enjoy watching you very much keep up the good work and awesome jobs with the videos as well

12. Ppshaw! It is what it is! As anything else that we do in life. The beginning is always met with excitement and anticipation but as time goes on, it is the love of what we are doing that keeps us going ***. Like marriage; the wedding day is fanfare, the honeymoon is fabulous but then comes the day to day living and it is filled with highs and lows. For your viewers, i offer this; know that each layer of lamination was not exactly as the one before. Although it might have seemed the same, looking closer shows a different story. Yes it becomes tedious but so does getting up for work every day! One may not see the beauty in that but at the end of the week, there is a payday (of sorts) and the anticipation of the upcoming week-end to spend more time with family , friends , and whatever.
    So, do not worry about how the video may appear to the viewers, be more concerned on focusing your attention on the love of your project and viewers will see that……… Ttfn ****************************************************** ❣❣

13. im surprized youre not reaching out to local boat builders for tips, even hallberg rassy would be happy to share advice, im sure. never feel to shy or proud to ask. saves a lot of guessing.nothing to loose. some of those guys would have done what youre doing for 40 years and be super happy to share with you as you guys have a lot of respect out there.

14. Obviously people have questioned your build. I build my 52f ketch launched in 2005. Sailing it today, every out haul show no faults in the hull. Trust me, I trust your method 100%

27. I have had success sitting cups of mixed epoxy in an ice bath to delay the hardening process. This was important for me as I was working in a hot climate, but this might help in a colder climate, potentially extending the working time by as long as you need. A syringe of mixed epoxy can be placed in the freezer overnight and used the next day for example!

32. You are deserving of all the praise that you're getting in these comments. In essence you're creating a reality show that's Really Real. There Is no film crew except for yourselves. Even the production of your videos is holistically incorporated into your everyday lives. First you cruised the world while starting a family. In this next phase you find a special, run-down farm and make it your home base and boat works in the Swedish countryside. It really is fantastic. Those four hands of yours made it all happen, and we can't forget Vera. Think what her two growing hands will be able to do, as the three of you, in the not too distant future, set sail in your beautiful new boat! 😊
