  1. I would be a little concerned about her trying to squeeze between the mattress and the bottom of that mesh gate and getting stuck, and possibly choking if her head gets stuck. I almost think a toddler bed rail tucked under the mattress would be safer. Sorry for the unsolicited advice but I couldn’t NOT say anything. Maybe add a bed rail there to keep her from doing that?

Sailing La Vagabonde used a pack-n-play type pop-up tent thing that zipped open on the side when Lenny was a baby. They just put it right on top of the mattress.

  2. Regarding how to keep and use tools on board and at sea I had the following "strategy" :
I have my "emergency" tools at hand as they are placed in an extra drawer under the chart table. Not very big but it has a large capacity because it is long . It contains : hammer, knife, screwdrivers, vise grip, wrench, pliers, wire cutters, Exacto knives, hacksaw, extra blades for all tools, scissors, spanners, some electric wire, splicer, and thread and needles, some tape and Ducktape, etc… plus the basic nut and bolts of the same size of those which are on deck, same with an assortment of screws plus a handful of galvanized nails (my boat is made of wood and plywood)… Spanners, wrenches, screwdrivers are only selected for the size of hardware that already on deck.
All the rest (and there is a lot) is stacked below in tool boxes with each tool wrapped in a cloth that has bee thouroughly oiled or greased. Wiping them when in use is sure a mild hassle but I was sick and tired of cleaning my tool off rust each year.
I think that division between "emergency" tools and the others is quite wise. At least it has worked for me : and the BONUS was that I realized that in the long run 80 or 90% of cases I only needed by "drawer" tools even when job was done ashore.

One solution to have a tool always ready at hand.

    Cheers.

  3. OMG 😱, you guys ‼️ This 18 mins went soooooo fast. Love the solutions…..and using experts in their field to help, or even do the entire project. Happy the funds were available. More time with your family is priceless!! B. R. A. V. O. ‼️💕🎉
    .
    See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨

  4. Tools storage and accessibility is a problem on land but it has got to be 10 times the problem on a boat. I would like to hear how you determined what tools are essential for maintaining a boat that travels so far off shore. As always have fun be safe and see you next week.

  5. I even cook sausages in my oven. oven dish, put about a cup of water with the sausages and let them cook at about 150 degrees.

try google oven baking for beginners.. honestly, all ovens are different so its just trial and error. you can make bread, stews, your going to enjoy the oven..
one language I want to learn is Hebrew but its an ancient language that no one teaches unless you go to Jerusalem.

  6. The Turkish people are great – As an Aussie their is a strong bond from WW1 and Gallipoli – mutual respect and great and generous words by Ataturk to the invaders "Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives… you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore, rest in peace."

  7. Yay Veto Pro PAC! I did the same, packed one with the tools I need to grab 90% of the time. The Wera Tool Check Plus is decent. Add the Wera Zyklop Imperial set and you have a nice metric/imperial socket combo. Just be careful going down the Knipex rabbit hole – so many nice tools for common and unusual applications. Man, a set of Cobras is great. And the Knipex wire strippers are awesome. Lastly, the Knipex Twin Grip – once you start finding uses for this you will wonder how you lived without it.

  8. Yes!!! This is a huge thing when dealing with a boat. I’ve been looking at making more sewn fabric tool holders. I dig that lock in Bosch idea. Might even become a backrest at the nav station on my passport 40.

  9. Try an induction cooktop (120 volt); they are very enegy efficient and do not
waste energy heating up the interior space. The cooking pots must be induction
capable (or cast iron works well) Many pans, especially European, are induction
capable and they are not expensive.
You will toss out your propane system – and worries. Induction cook tops are very
controllable and very fast in both heating up and cooling down. Try a single burner
(about $75.00) or a double burner ($140-200). I used a Cuisinart for several weeks
while remodeling our kitchen – then bought a 4 burner induction cooktop and
prefer it to the premium gas cooktop we had been using. (The 4 burner is 240 volt)

  10. Beautiful boat, great setup for storage of tools and parts, and baking has always intimidated me due to the science. I cheated and bought a bread machine. Keep those videos coming !!!! Thanks

  11. I don't want to upset your morale, my friend, but it is impossible for that curtain to stop a baby, you will understand this in a few days. Babies master every obstacle

  12. Great video and great ideas on organizing tools. We added a pizza stone to the bottom of our oven to moderate and even out temps. It made a Huge difference for baking.

  13. I want to clone you ! Great job. I always wanted to design an interior SMARTLY….Many wonderful GOOD smart designs with the canvas and sunshade. Sweet. I used a harness with my children and it gave all of us peace of mind> I'd love to know the specs on the cushions – what foam and cover

  14. Long time subscriber. Love watching your adventures..
I have a question why is Chasing Latitudes so Butt Hurt with you guys. Whatever it is he can't let it go…

  15. Great job with storage and baby gate. Where is Ozo? I must be missing him on last few videos. Will you sail with Isabella across the Atlantic? ❤

  16. Great job on the Projects. I think you may want to check out RAN sailing they had a infant chair idea that looked amazing using a Child's Bike Seat and a Lagun Table mounting bracket.

  17. About the tools, what are you doing to prevent rust? The Bosch boxes are nice, but are they water (and water vapor) tight? The only solution I have found to prevent rust is a couple of water tight boxes that I have. I have even tried coating the tools with some special spray (I forget what it is called) that left the tools sticky and then they started to rust again.

  18. When we cruised Turkey, I ordered a 4 burner/oven which they installed for free. It was truly awesome to see the wife baking off watch on our passages. The problem was we both gained to much weight from all the food she was able to prepare.

  19. i am your new sailboater Turkish follower from Marmaris Area, your videos are great ! , you can use my jetty after April if you need.. Fair winds..

  20. Please, please, 🙏. Post somewhere somehow: What are the “general” categories of tools that each Bosch box contains?? What are the individual tools in the 99% day bag?? I’ve been living aboard for 7 years and have fought this battle everyday. Thank you very much.
