  1. Hello again. That comment below about sealing all the wood under the floor is very very important. I am sure you know there will always be moisture under the floor and the wood under there will rot. Ok, keep up the great work and don't rush. Just take your time and enjoy it. ciao. geo

  2. Hello, I went back to ep1 and watched them all and could not find out how that big hole in the keel that is exposing the concrete ballast got there. How did that happen? This entire project is so interesting to me, I want to know it all. Thanks, ciao, geo

  3. You have pool in your front yard, that’s amazing, heat it up and it’s a jacuzzi. Hope you guys move to your boat that has less leaks 💪😊

  4. 298 for wood, 291i is more for fitting your portlights to the hull. If you put teak planking then for the caulking 290DC. However, your boat your method.

  5. Do not apologize! The camera work is outstanding, especially this episode! I love the detailed shots and the close-ups. Maybe you should have put some real load on the mast foot after setting it in place, like 500 lbs, not just your own weight. But whatever, it'll be ok, like everything else. Stu missed a singing carreer! Ha ha ha!

  6. You dont over exagerate, this was actually a storm. In french it's named "Episode méditerranéen", lot of wind, lot of water. I also found water in my boat, that was finely closed 😀 But the wind was so strong !

  7. As a lifelong bodger I am blown away by the attention to detail in the bilge area. Lovely episode and good to see spirits running high. Go well!❤

  8. Watch this amazing rebuild. These two certified shipwright rebuild there fiberglass sloop. Stu, some people call it peanut butter! Thanks guys, your really doing a fabulous job on Seabird.

  9. Boats that are not watertight, …… are technically not boats! I thought that weather in south of France was always clement, …. until I watched Sailing Seabird!

  10. Filleting the edges with Sika to glass over later is a real bad idea. As the name says, Sikaflex is flexible, Epoxy and Glass are way harder. The EP won't stick to the Sika for the time being on the hard. The chemistry of wet EP on dry Sika is also not tested. No where ever tried. As the Glass is only a couple of thin layers and not connected to the edge it will break.
Don't know where that idea came from, it's just weird and stupid. A naval architect and boatbuilder.

  11. Hello again you two. The more I watch the more I think about what you're doing. Ok Marine, I think you need to get that hatch completely sealed watertight so you don't have to sponge up water from the bilge all the time. I know Stu is working on other things. Ok, enjoy. ciao geo

  12. Sometimes they seem cool and refreshing, but don't be fooled! If it's on your skin, It's in your skin! (and then your body), speaking of any chemical …Marina! On a side note, you make it seem that you two work great together, that's great!, and you do great work too! thanks for the pleasure of watching your endeavors.
