  1. I saw two named Islands and the one closest to the entrance to the atoll had two or three buildings on it, small buildings kind of hidden inside what might be coconut tree's ? Neg Island. Interestingly, your not mentioning that there are others there. And, you didn't mention the horn ? Strange. When you pulled out I could see one of the buildings on that island. Two other boats easy to see, but you didn't not mention them. Interesting. The book which was mentioned An Island to oneself or myself depending on the version was about a new zealander living on one of the other named Islands, Anchorage. No buildings were seen by satellite on that island. He lived there a very long 15 or so years by himself according to a short description of this rare book.

  2. The Cooks have always been one of my favorite group of Islands. Spent 2 weeks there in the early 90's, one week each at Rarotonga and Aitutaki (beautiful), water so clear and warm you could literally read the date on a quarter (coin) that was on the bottom in the sand. Enjoy your stay I know I did.

  3. Long time viewer of your channel. Love you guys! Is that an inflatable sup? If so, how does it do in the sun? I have a Flicka 20 with so little room and am wondering if I can sail with my sup attached like yours. Thanks!! And thanks for teaching me so much.

  4. The Cook Islands are a fantastic place.
I was lucky enough to live and work there for Four years.
There's some information about a bloke Prendergast who lived on Suwarrow by himself for many years.
I only remembered it when watching your video, as a couple of old locals asked me back in the 90s if I was related having the same surname.
What a great place to visit, enjoy it guys, regards Steve.

  5. Awesome vid guys. The underwater and drone shots are awesome . How many gps links does your drone pic up in the middle of the nowhere almost?

  6. I guess by now you will understand Tom Neale's obsession with Suwarrow, and why he fought so hard to get there and stay there! Such a paradise. I think from one of your drone shots you could see the remains of the jetty he laboured to complete – or maybe what I was looking at was just a rocky outcrop, like Black Rocks in Rarotonga. I hope you are enjoying a once in a life time experience.

  7. First off, I love your videos, you two are fun and inspirational! We sail in the South Puget Sound, we aspire to go much further. If it were me and I were facing a night hove to, or I could atart the motor, I would motor for a bit! You said you only motor at 4.5 knots, I ran the numbers, it should be 7 or more?

  8. I'm going to guess that Erika's advice for a successful marriage is to find someone who loves you as much as Warren loves not turning the motors on during a passage. 😄

  9. I’ve got to get over wanting more at the end of each episode. Great job! The Island looks much more lush than earlier days, perhaps storms damaged back then. We had SSB radio nets twenty plus years ago for boats, pirates and what to expect from sea state besides B.S.ing. Great also for help beyond VHF range, backup technology . For relaxing listening believe early evening there called Saturday Night on radio NZ, 7-12 NZ time, Friday on our dateline here on 9700 MHz AM a radio request show by email etc. Of course you can get much clearer via internet on Radio Garden or TuneIn apps or a browser. Fun distraction or a boat party

  10. Always such a groovy and informative episode with you lovely people. I love watching your episodes so much that at times I find myself forgetting that I am not really onboard with you guys and merely enjoying your adventures from the safety of my computer in my home office. Now seeing how I often feel that I am onboard with you two, going through thousands of miles that perhaps I can get several Swallows tattooed on me. On the other hand seeing how my sailing adventures with you are all done on my computer, maybe it would be more fitting if I just got a couple of small pigeons tattooed on me instead of the real deal – The Beautiful Swallow. Never stop sailing. I need more Pigeon tattoos. LOL!

  11. You introduced yourselves to me when you buddied up with Delos who I have been following since their beginning. I'm so glad that happened! I now look forward to your adventures every Wednesday.

  12. well be satisfied that he keeps up the good work, a boat is like a barrel without a bottom, it never stops, same thing to a house, a friend of mine can't do the work himself, he has 2 left hands, and it's just falling apart, but always blaming someone else who does not come to work on his house, become he refuses to pay good money for good work, so worry be happy sailing. nice video, keep up the good work.

  13. Wow you guys can even make a relatively dull crossing interesting! And in a nod to the political and Olympic lunacy that is enveloping the world, you even made an effort to award Warren’s “sit-upon” equal air time to Erica’s. The judges were split, with the artistic scores coming in at 9.0 but the technical were only 6.2.

It still made my workout a LOT more fun! Another two thumbs up (if I had three, it’d be three.)❤
