It doesn't matter how high tech the pants are,
if you're sitting in a puddle in the cockpit you WILL get wet.
And wet = miserable on a boat.
The pants should be PVC which is totally waterproof, unlike breathable fabrics
which by their very nature will leach water if immersed long enough.
