boat has money pit written all over it.walking away was a good call.no matter how much money you spend on an old boat it will still be an old boat and not that valuable.you will come across a boat that requires far less work and money spending on it than this one if you keep looking and are patient.
Best thing you could have done, run away. Have a look at sailing seabird or sailing magic carpet if you want to see what agony restoring a neglected boat entails!!
Nothing more expensive than a cheap boat…. You absolutely did the right thing. Much better to find something that is still being maintained than to bring something back from the beyond.
Sound could be a neighboring vessel with the engine running and in gear whilst secure in a slip. I do this periodically when we can’t take the boat out to keep everything exercised.
Is a haunted boat worth free air conditioning in the tropics? That's debatable with the price of energy.
That is how audio sounds when you got a drop of sweat or rainwater in your microphone opening. No big deal. It will shake out or dry soon that is why there is no evidence of this. Try it and see.

9:00–9:10 and many other spots. You can also hear him clearly swear when the seat collapses, with nothing hindering his voice at 8:11

I have heard that sound only one other time. It was about 15 years ago while I was watching the Nickelodeon channel here in the US. The sound came from Sandy the squirrel who was wearing scuba gear while she visited SpongeBob Squarepants.

Ravens are a good sign. As long as they aren't making lots of calls to their mates, there is no danger or anxiety present, and they feel at ease and comfortable with their company.

Love the feeling of spirit presence though. I haven't a religious/spiritual bone in my body, but I've been freaked out by two "spirit" encounters. In the first one the spirits were two dogs. How cool, aye? In the second I was dead freaked out.

Call me suspicious, or having a healthy skepticism or reluctance to take things or people at face value, but a buyer in waiting for you to cancel? Cleaner been in despite asking not too, likely had portable a/c unit to deliberately get her spooky cold(did they know when you were going to be aboard roughly)? sounds like someone was getting her ready for themselves to me. Plus perhaps A diver under her making noises designed to insure you run. I think you got scammed out of her personally, jammed steering, oil on water completely surrounding her etc, all very suspicious and easy stuff to arrange, and likely done with a number of locals involved. Like you i do not believe in the spooky stuff and look for practical explanation's to scary stuff, but admit to having a fright now and then anyway, that took time to understand. Can ravens be trained to hang around an owner? being smart i bet they can, (the diver perhaps)would be interesting to know if they still visit while buyer is working on her.

There is no such thing as coincidence imho and after all those warnings and, well, i call them omens your decision is the right one and Valkyrie will be sailing the seas again. Repect for your great work, love it!

From the first time I saw this boat I was in pass mode. Money pit for sure.
There is very little value in that boat. 150K US to bring it up to proper seaworthy minimum, in my opinion and better spent elsewhere. It is the little things that get you in yachting. Enjoyed the emotional journey we all take when chasing the dream and glad common sense got the better of you.
Slocum told a tale of when he was sick during a storm a spectral figure steered him to safety for 3 days.
Me personally am not religious nor believe in ghosts but there has been too many times I have had very good luck that has saved my backside, too many times to be mere coincidence. There is something watching over me I cannot explain.
