Am stat închiși înăuntru în inundații, multe. Soph și-a rupt glezna și a avut nevoie de o operație care ne-a pus în așteptare, dar de îndată ce am putut, am plecat din nou, ajungând la recif, insule și noua coastă. În cele din urmă, am zburat în Whitsundays, de parcă am fost transportați într-un Tahiti canadian traversat cu Bahamas, ei bine pentru că nu am fost în niciunul dintre acele locuri pe care ni le putem imagina. Și practic, iată-ne acum… Chance Bay. Bine ați venit la depozitul Slims Bush Mechanics. Începem săptămâna aceasta încercând să reparăm nenorocitul exterior… aducem și un Uber la țărm pentru apusul soarelui… Știu că nu credeam că Uber a ajuns încă pe insule, dar aparent, au…După o scufundare de dimineață, ne aflăm pe o barcă cu motor construită manual pentru cafea și prăjitură DAR, DE ASEMENEA, am putut să ajutăm la descărcarea încărcăturilor de plastic de munte pe care le-au adunat în Eco-Barja, eram destul de naibii. uluiți de cât de mult au reușit să găsească în zona locală, bine cu voi băieți. Este ultima noastră zi de vacanță universitară și intenționăm să profităm la maximum de ea, traversăm dealul până la Whitehaven Beach pentru o înot și apoi sărim înapoi pe Nakama și olar în jurul insulelor căutând o altă baie. Hill Inlet pur și simplu arăta mulțumit de bine… Este un sfârșit emoționant nu numai pentru vacanța noastră, ci și pentru sezonul de croazieră… ne uităm la priveliștile Hill Inlet și apele cristaline înainte de a ne întoarce probabil la locul nostru de ancorare preferat din Whitsundays….ce an nebun a fost.   17. Very nice drone footage of Hill Inlet. We put up a drone there and got some good footage. Had some turkey try to call us on VHF. When we didn’t answer, he aggressively cut us off as we were leaving. Meth rage from a local, we thought.

  20. Check the rubber diaphragm in the fuel pump. I’ve seen that problem in numerous brands over the years and with a fuel tank with a hose where the hose connects the O rings swell and get bad over the years.

  36. Question: How do I know if the idle jet on my outboard carb is clogged?
    Answer: If it's a 2-stroke and you don't run it twice a day every day, it is.
    If you want to be sure, crank it with the choke on full and hi throttle, get it to run, then lower the throttle and choke and listen to it die. Yup, idle jet is clogged.
    Easy fix, pull the carb and blow keyboard cleaner air throught the jets, you will be amazed at how that tiny little speck of gummy dried oil that comes out of the idle jet was all it was. Better clean the float valve too while you're at it.
    Now, practice prevention by adding a small amount of liquid carburetor cleaner to your fuel supply and measuring your 2 stroke oil to prevent excess oil in the fuel.
    It was a good guess about water in the fuel too, that's the other extremely common cruiser problem. The fix is to find a plastic cup just the right size and cut it to fit snug ober the fuel cap to prevent water getting in the air vent, cuz we can't be expected to open and close the air vent every time we use the dinghy, can we?
