I really fell in love with the musician and brilliance of Mark Knopfler while listening to his duets – particularly this one with James Taylor. Dreamy, historical, humble and brilliant.
SUPER MASTER PIECE OF MUKIK
Mark is probably my favorite vocalist over time. Add how he plays guitar – superb. Saw him in concert in Chicago at a relatively small venue. Worth the $700/ticket for 5th row.

MK is a master songwriter – there is no one alive and perhaps even in the past history of music who's got a wider repertoire of song themes.
It's a mystery why a Knighthood has eluded this genius. But then, given given MK's known lack of appetite for these things…..

As a Geordie this song has such resonance of just how far the Geordies have gone in this world, though outside the UK few would know of us… remember discovering about the Mason Dixon line on holiday in the US a few years back, and felt such a strong connection to Newcastle from 5,000+ miles away… Howay Knopfler and the toon!
