Für die Beerdigung meines Papas ausgesucht. 10.04.2017.
Get this: I heard this when I was like 6 or 7 years old. And I LOOOOOOVED it!
I remember our music teacher in school allowed us to take with us a music track we loved to show the rest of the class.
Well, it was the mid-90s, so most kids had tracks by I dunno, spice girls or Hanson?
And here I, the odd kid in class, comes with this. 😀
That's a divine music
play this song at my funeral please
Preciosa ⚘🌿❤💙
Играл ее в школе 1978 год!!! Сижу реву как дурак!!!
I've heard this song over the years (mainly the Rod Stewart version) and never really thought much of it. It was just another song that I didn't resonate with. Recently I've been really into watching people's real life accounts of their near death experiences on YouTube where they go towards the light, encounter passed relatives, God/Love/Source, through the tunnel etc. Anyway this morning when I woke up I had this song in my head, it got louder and louder until I literally found myself singing it staring out of the kitchen window. I thought, why is this song in my head? I looked up the meaning of the original version (not Rod Stewart's as this is something about paying taxes?) Anyway, I was absolutely astounded to learn that the original meaning is spiritual, dying, passing over, going home to God/Love/Source! I then listened to this version and absolutely sobbed at the meaning and the beauty of it. It is literally the most beautiful music I have ever heard in my entire life. I'd like to add that I was brought up in an atheist family/community and that I'm not religious. At least I wasn't up until today! Now I'm left wondering if I am
Gavin Sutherland's Sailing is the zenith of musical composition. This is its finest arrangement and rendition..
Essa música e maravilhosa.
I am sailing
I am sailing
Home again
'Cross the sea
I am sailing
Stormy waters
To be near you
To be free
I am flying
I am flying
Like a bird
'Cross the sky
I am flying
Passing high clouds
To be near you
To be free
Can you hear me? Can you hear me?
Through the dark night, far away
I am dying, forever crying
To be with you, who can say
Can you hear me? Can you hear me?
Through the dark night, far away
I am dying, forever crying
To be with you, who can say?
We are sailing, we are sailing
Home again
'Cross the sea
We are sailing
Stormy waters
To be near you
To be free
Oh, Lord, to be near you, to be free
Oh, my Lord, to be near you, to be free
Oh, my Lord, to be near you, to be free
Oh, Lord
